My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken mee? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
GenevaTo him that excelleth upon Aiieleth Hasshahar. A Psalme of Dauid. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me, and art so farre from mine health, and from the wordes of my roaring?
לַ֭/מְנַצֵּחַ עַל אַיֶּ֥לֶת הַ/שַּׁ֗חַר מִזְמ֥וֹר לְ/דָוִֽד
O my God, I crie in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
GenevaO my God, I crie by day, but thou hearest not, and by night, but haue no audience.
אֵלִ֣/י אֵ֭לִ/י לָ/מָ֣ה עֲזַבְתָּ֑/נִי רָח֥וֹק מִֽ֝/ישׁוּעָתִ֗/י דִּבְרֵ֥י שַׁאֲגָתִֽ/י
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel!

אֱֽלֹהַ֗/י אֶקְרָ֣א י֭וֹמָם וְ/לֹ֣א תַעֲנֶ֑ה וְ֝/לַ֗יְלָה וְֽ/לֹא דֽוּמִיָּ֥ה לִֽ/י
Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliuer them.

וְ/אַתָּ֥ה קָד֑וֹשׁ י֝וֹשֵׁ֗ב תְּהִלּ֥וֹת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל
They cryed vnto thee, and were deliuered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

בְּ֭/ךָ בָּטְח֣וּ אֲבֹתֵ֑י/נוּ בָּ֝טְח֗וּ וַֽ/תְּפַלְּטֵֽ/מוֹ
But I am a worme, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
GenevaBut I am a worme, and not a man: a shame of men, and the contempt of the people.
אֵלֶ֣י/ךָ זָעֲק֣וּ וְ/נִמְלָ֑טוּ בְּ/ךָ֖ בָטְח֣וּ וְ/לֹא בֽוֹשׁוּ
All they that see me, laugh me to scorne: they shoote out the lippe, they shake the head, saying,
GenevaAll they that see me, haue me in derision: they make a mowe and nod the head, saying,
וְ/אָנֹכִ֣י תוֹלַ֣עַת וְ/לֹא אִ֑ישׁ חֶרְפַּ֥ת אָ֝דָ֗ם וּ/בְז֥וּי עָֽם
He trusted on the LORD, that he would deliuer him: let him deliuer him, seeing he delighted in him.

כָּל רֹ֭אַ/י יַלְעִ֣גוּ לִ֑/י יַפְטִ֥ירוּ בְ֝/שָׂפָ֗ה יָנִ֥יעוּ רֹֽאשׁ
But thou art hee that tooke mee out of the wombe; thou didst make me hope, when I was vpon my mothers breasts.

גֹּ֣ל אֶל יְהוָ֣ה יְפַלְּטֵ֑/הוּ יַ֝צִּילֵ֗/הוּ כִּ֘י חָ֥פֵֽץ בּֽ/וֹ
I was cast vpon thee from the wombe: thou art my God from my mothers belly.

כִּֽי אַתָּ֣ה גֹחִ֣/י מִ/בָּ֑טֶן מַ֝בְטִיחִ֗/י עַל שְׁדֵ֥י אִמִּֽ/י
Be not farre from me, for trouble is neere; for there is none to helpe.

עָ֭לֶי/ךָ הָשְׁלַ֣כְתִּי מֵ/רָ֑חֶם מִ/בֶּ֥טֶן אִ֝מִּ֗/י אֵ֣לִ/י אָֽתָּה
Many bulles haue compassed me: strong bulles of Bashan haue beset me round.

אַל תִּרְחַ֣ק מִ֭מֶּ/נִּי כִּי צָרָ֣ה קְרוֹבָ֑ה כִּי אֵ֥ין עוֹזֵֽר
They gaped vpon me with their mouthes, as a rauening and a roaring Lyon.

סְ֭בָבוּ/נִי פָּרִ֣ים רַבִּ֑ים אַבִּירֵ֖י בָשָׁ֣ן כִּתְּרֽוּ/נִי
I am powred out like water, and all my bones are out of ioynt: my heart is like waxe, it is melted in the middest of my bowels.

פָּצ֣וּ עָלַ֣/י פִּי/הֶ֑ם אַ֝רְיֵ֗ה טֹרֵ֥ף וְ/שֹׁאֵֽג
My strength is dried vp like a potsheard: and my tongue cleaueth to my iawes; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

כַּ/מַּ֥יִם נִשְׁפַּכְתִּי֮ וְ/הִתְפָּֽרְד֗וּ כָּֽל עַצְמ֫וֹתָ֥/י הָיָ֣ה לִ֭בִּ/י כַּ/דּוֹנָ֑ג נָ֝מֵ֗ס בְּ/ת֣וֹךְ מֵעָֽ/י
For dogges haue compassed me: the assembly of the wicked haue inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feete.

I may tell all my bones: they looke and stare vpon me.

כִּ֥י סְבָב֗וּ/נִי כְּלָ֫בִ֥ים עֲדַ֣ת מְ֭רֵעִים הִקִּיפ֑וּ/נִי כָּ֝/אֲרִ֗י יָדַ֥/י וְ/רַגְלָֽ/י
They part my garments among them, and cast lots vpon my vesture.

אֲסַפֵּ֥ר כָּל עַצְמוֹתָ֑/י הֵ֥מָּה יַ֝בִּ֗יטוּ יִרְאוּ בִֽ/י
But be not thou farre from mee, O LORD; O my strength, hast thee to helpe me.

יְחַלְּק֣וּ בְגָדַ֣/י לָ/הֶ֑ם וְ/עַל לְ֝בוּשִׁ֗/י יַפִּ֥ילוּ גוֹרָֽל
Deliuer my soule from the sword: my darling from the power of the dogge.

וְ/אַתָּ֣ה יְ֭הוָה אַל תִּרְחָ֑ק אֱ֝יָלוּתִ֗/י לְ/עֶזְרָ֥תִ/י חֽוּשָׁ/ה
Saue me from the lyons mouth: for thou hast heard me from the hornes of the vnicornes.

הַצִּ֣ילָ/ה מֵ/חֶ֣רֶב נַפְשִׁ֑/י מִ/יַּד כֶּ֝֗לֶב יְחִידָתִֽ/י
I will declare thy name vnto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
GenevaI wil declare thy Name vnto my brethren: in the middes of the Congregation will I praise thee, saying,
ה֭וֹשִׁיעֵ/נִי מִ/פִּ֣י אַרְיֵ֑ה וּ/מִ/קַּרְנֵ֖י רֵמִ֣ים עֲנִיתָֽ/נִי
Yee that feare the LORD, praise him; all yee the seede of Iacob glorifie him, and feare him all yee the seede of Israel.
GenevaPrayse the Lord, ye that feare him: magnifie ye him, all the seede of Iaakob, and feare ye him, all the seede of Israel.
אֲסַפְּרָ֣ה שִׁמְ/ךָ֣ לְ/אֶחָ֑/י בְּ/ת֖וֹךְ קָהָ֣ל אֲהַלְלֶֽ/ךָּ
For he hath not despised, nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him, but when he cried vnto him, he heard.

יִרְאֵ֤י יְהוָ֨ה הַֽלְל֗וּ/הוּ כָּל זֶ֣רַע יַעֲקֹ֣ב כַּבְּד֑וּ/הוּ וְ/ג֥וּרוּ מִ֝מֶּ֗/נּוּ כָּל זֶ֥רַע יִשְׂרָאֵֽל
My praise shalbe of thee, in the great congregation: I will pay my vowes, before them that feare him.
GenevaMy prayse shalbe of thee in the great Congregation: my vowes will I perfourme before them that feare him.
כִּ֤י לֹֽא בָזָ֨ה וְ/לֹ֪א שִׁקַּ֡ץ עֱנ֬וּת עָנִ֗י וְ/לֹא הִסְתִּ֣יר פָּנָ֣י/ו מִמֶּ֑/נּוּ וּֽ/בְ/שַׁוְּע֖/וֹ אֵלָ֣י/ו שָׁמֵֽעַ
The meeke shall eate and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seeke him; your heart shall liue for euer.
GenevaThe poore shall eate and be satisfied: they that seeke after the Lord, shall prayse him: your heart shall liue for euer.
מֵ֥/אִתְּ/ךָ֗ תְֽהִלָּ֫תִ֥/י בְּ/קָהָ֥ל רָ֑ב נְדָרַ֥/י אֲ֝שַׁלֵּ֗ם נֶ֣גֶד יְרֵאָֽי/ו
All the ends of the world shall remember, and turne vnto the LORD: and all the kinreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
GenevaAll the endes of the worlde shall remember themselues, and turne to the Lord: and all the kinreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
יֹאכְל֬וּ עֲנָוִ֨ים וְ/יִשְׂבָּ֗עוּ יְהַֽלְל֣וּ יְ֭הוָה דֹּ֣רְשָׁ֑י/ו יְחִ֖י לְבַבְ/כֶ֣ם לָ/עַֽד
For the kingdome is the LORDs: and he is the gouernour among the nations.
GenevaFor the kingdome is the Lords, and he ruleth among the nations.
יִזְכְּר֤וּ וְ/יָשֻׁ֣בוּ אֶל יְ֭הוָה כָּל אַפְסֵי אָ֑רֶץ וְ/יִֽשְׁתַּחֲו֥וּ לְ֝/פָנֶ֗י/ךָ כָּֽל מִשְׁפְּח֥וֹת גּוֹיִֽם
All they that be fat vpon earth shall eate and worship: all they that goe downe to the dust shall bow before him, and none can keepe aliue his owne soule.
GenevaAll they that be fat in the earth, shall eate and worship: all they that go downe into the dust, shall bowe before him, euen he that cannot quicken his owne soule.
כִּ֣י לַ֭/יהוָה הַ/מְּלוּכָ֑ה וּ֝/מֹשֵׁ֗ל בַּ/גּוֹיִֽם
A seed shall serue him; it shalbe accounted to the Lord for a generation.
GenevaTheir seede shall serue him: it shalbe counted vnto the Lord for a generation.
אָכְל֬וּ וַ/יִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוּ֨וּ כָּֽל דִּשְׁנֵי אֶ֗רֶץ לְ/פָנָ֣י/ו יִ֭כְרְעוּ כָּל יוֹרְדֵ֣י עָפָ֑ר וְ֝/נַפְשׁ֗/וֹ לֹ֣א חִיָּֽה
They shall come, and shall declare his righteousnes vnto a people that shalbe borne, that he hath done this.

זֶ֥רַע יַֽעַבְדֶ֑/נּוּ יְסֻפַּ֖ר לַֽ/אדֹנָ֣/י לַ/דּֽוֹר
