Exodus 12
And the LORD spake vnto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
GenevaThen the Lord spake to Moses and to Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְ/אֶֽל אַהֲרֹ֔ן בְּ/אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם לֵ/אמֹֽר
This moneth shalbe vnto you the beginning of moneths: it shall be the first moneth of the yeere to you.
GenevaThis moneth shalbe vnto you the beginning of moneths: it shalbe to you the first moneth of the yere.
הַ/חֹ֧דֶשׁ הַ/זֶּ֛ה לָ/כֶ֖ם רֹ֣אשׁ חֳדָשִׁ֑ים רִאשׁ֥וֹן הוּא֙ לָ/כֶ֔ם לְ/חָדְשֵׁ֖י הַ/שָּׁנָֽה
¶ Speake ye vnto all the Congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this moneth they shall take to them euery man a lambe, according to the house of their fathers, a lambe for an house.
GenevaSpeake ye vnto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth of this moneth let euery man take vnto him a lambe, according to the house of the fathers, a lambe for an house.
דַּבְּר֗וּ אֶֽל כָּל עֲדַ֤ת יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לֵ/אמֹ֔ר בֶּ/עָשֹׂ֖ר לַ/חֹ֣דֶשׁ הַ/זֶּ֑ה וְ/יִקְח֣וּ לָ/הֶ֗ם אִ֛ישׁ שֶׂ֥ה לְ/בֵית אָבֹ֖ת שֶׂ֥ה לַ/בָּֽיִת
And if the houshold be too little for the lambe, let him and his neighbour next vnto his house, take it according to the number of the soules: euery man according to his eating shall make your count for the lambe.
GenevaAnd if the housholde be too litle for the lambe, he shall take his neighbour, which is next vnto his house, according to the nomber of the persons: euery one of you, according to his eating shall make your count for the lambes,
וְ/אִם יִמְעַ֣ט הַ/בַּיִת֮ מִ/הְיֹ֣ת מִ/שֶּׂה֒ וְ/לָקַ֣ח ה֗וּא וּ/שְׁכֵנ֛/וֹ הַ/קָּרֹ֥ב אֶל בֵּית֖/וֹ בְּ/מִכְסַ֣ת נְפָשֹׁ֑ת אִ֚ישׁ לְ/פִ֣י אָכְל֔/וֹ תָּכֹ֖סּוּ עַל הַ/שֶּֽׂה
Your lambe shall be without blemish, a male of the first yeere: yee shall take it out from the sheepe or from the goates.
GenevaYour lambe shalbe without blemish, a male of a yeere olde: ye shall take it of the lambes, or of the kiddes.
שֶׂ֥ה תָמִ֛ים זָכָ֥ר בֶּן שָׁנָ֖ה יִהְיֶ֣ה לָ/כֶ֑ם מִן הַ/כְּבָשִׂ֥ים וּ/מִן הָ/עִזִּ֖ים תִּקָּֽחוּ
And ye shall keepe it vp vntill the fourteenth day of the same moneth: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the euening.
GenevaAnd yee shall keepe it vntill the fourteenth day of this moneth: then al the multitude of the Congregation of Israel shall kill it at euen.
וְ/הָיָ֤ה לָ/כֶם֙ לְ/מִשְׁמֶ֔רֶת עַ֣ד אַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֛ר י֖וֹם לַ/חֹ֣דֶשׁ הַ/זֶּ֑ה וְ/שָׁחֲט֣וּ אֹת֗/וֹ כֹּ֛ל קְהַ֥ל עֲדַֽת יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בֵּ֥ין הָ/עַרְבָּֽיִם
And they shall take of the blood and strike it on the two side postes, and on the vpper doore poste, of the houses wherin they shall eate it.
GenevaAfter, they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two postes, and on the vpper doore post of the houses where they shall eate it.
וְ/לָֽקְחוּ֙ מִן הַ/דָּ֔ם וְ/נָֽתְנ֛וּ עַל שְׁתֵּ֥י הַ/מְּזוּזֹ֖ת וְ/עַל הַ/מַּשְׁק֑וֹף עַ֚ל הַ/בָּ֣תִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁר יֹאכְל֥וּ אֹת֖/וֹ בָּ/הֶֽם
And they shall eat the flesh in that night roste with fire, and vnleauened bread, and with bitter herbes they shall eate it.
GenevaAnd they shall eate the flesh the same night, roste with fire, and vnleauened bread: with sowre herbes they shall eate it.
וְ/אָכְל֥וּ אֶת הַ/בָּשָׂ֖ר בַּ/לַּ֣יְלָה הַ/זֶּ֑ה צְלִי אֵ֣שׁ וּ/מַצּ֔וֹת עַל מְרֹרִ֖ים יֹאכְלֻֽ/הוּ
Eate not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roste with fire: his head, with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
GenevaEate not thereof rawe, boyled nor sodden in water, but rost with fire, both his head, his feete, and his purtenance.
אַל תֹּאכְל֤וּ מִמֶּ֨/נּוּ֙ נָ֔א וּ/בָשֵׁ֥ל מְבֻשָּׁ֖ל בַּ/מָּ֑יִם כִּ֣י אִם צְלִי אֵ֔שׁ רֹאשׁ֥/וֹ עַל כְּרָעָ֖י/ו וְ/עַל קִרְבּֽ/וֹ
And ye shall let nothing of it remaine vntill the morning: and that which remaineth of it vntill the morning, ye shall burne with fire.
GenevaAnd ye shall reserue nothing of it vnto the morning: but that, which remaineth of it vnto the morowe, shall ye burne with fire.
וְ/לֹא תוֹתִ֥ירוּ מִמֶּ֖/נּוּ עַד בֹּ֑קֶר וְ/הַ/נֹּתָ֥ר מִמֶּ֛/נּוּ עַד בֹּ֖קֶר בָּ/אֵ֥שׁ תִּשְׂרֹֽפוּ
¶ And thus shall ye eate it: with your loines girded, your shooes on your feet, and your staffe in your hand: and ye shall eate it in haste: it is the LORDs Passeouer.
GenevaAnd thus shall yee eate it, Your loynes girded, your shoes on your feete, and your staues in your handes, and yee shall eate it in haste: for it is the Lords Passeouer.
וְ/כָכָה֮ תֹּאכְל֣וּ אֹת/וֹ֒ מָתְנֵי/כֶ֣ם חֲגֻרִ֔ים נַֽעֲלֵי/כֶם֙ בְּ/רַגְלֵי/כֶ֔ם וּ/מַקֶּלְ/כֶ֖ם בְּ/יֶדְ/כֶ֑ם וַ/אֲכַלְתֶּ֤ם אֹת/וֹ֙ בְּ/חִפָּז֔וֹן פֶּ֥סַח ה֖וּא לַ/יהוָֽה
For I will passe through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the first borne in the land of Egypt, both man & beast, and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute iudgement: I am the LORD.
GenevaFor I will passe through the lande of Egypt the same night, and will smite all the first borne in the land of Egypt, both man and beast, and I will execute iudgement vpon all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord.
וְ/עָבַרְתִּ֣י בְ/אֶֽרֶץ מִצְרַיִם֮ בַּ/לַּ֣יְלָה הַ/זֶּה֒ וְ/הִכֵּיתִ֤י כָל בְּכוֹר֙ בְּ/אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם מֵ/אָדָ֖ם וְ/עַד בְּהֵמָ֑ה וּ/בְ/כָל אֱלֹהֵ֥י מִצְרַ֛יִם אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֥ה שְׁפָטִ֖ים אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה
And the blood shall be to you for a token vpon the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will passe ouer you, and the plague shall not bee vpon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
GenevaAnd the blood shalbe a token for you vpon the houses where ye are: so when I see the blood, I will passe ouer you, and the plague shall not be vpon you to destruction, when I smite the lande of Egypt.
וְ/הָיָה֩ הַ/דָּ֨ם לָ/כֶ֜ם לְ/אֹ֗ת עַ֤ל הַ/בָּתִּים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אַתֶּ֣ם שָׁ֔ם וְ/רָאִ֨יתִי֙ אֶת הַ/דָּ֔ם וּ/פָסַחְתִּ֖י עֲלֵ/כֶ֑ם וְ/לֹֽא יִֽהְיֶ֨ה בָ/כֶ֥ם נֶ֨גֶף֙ לְ/מַשְׁחִ֔ית בְּ/הַכֹּתִ֖/י בְּ/אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם
And this day shall be vnto you for a memoriall: and you shall keepe in a feast to the LORD, throughout your generations: you shall keepe it a feast by an ordinance for euer.
GenevaAnd this day shalbe vnto you a remembrance: and ye shall keepe it an holie feast vnto the Lord, throughout your generations: yee shall keepe it holie by an ordinance for euer.
וְ/הָיָה֩ הַ/יּ֨וֹם הַ/זֶּ֤ה לָ/כֶם֙ לְ/זִכָּר֔וֹן וְ/חַגֹּתֶ֥ם אֹת֖/וֹ חַ֣ג לַֽ/יהוָ֑ה לְ/דֹרֹ֣תֵי/כֶ֔ם חֻקַּ֥ת עוֹלָ֖ם תְּחָגֻּֽ/הוּ
Seuen dayes shall ye eate vnleauened bread, euen the first day yee shall put away leauen out of your houses: For whosoeuer eateth leauened bread, from the first day vntil the seuenth day, that soule shall be cut off from Israel.
GenevaSeuen daies shall ye eat vnleauened bread, and in any case ye shall put away leauen the first day out of your houses: for whosoeuer eateth leauened bread from the first daie vntill the seuenth day, that person shalbe cut off from Israel.
שִׁבְעַ֤ת יָמִים֙ מַצּ֣וֹת תֹּאכֵ֔לוּ אַ֚ךְ בַּ/יּ֣וֹם הָ/רִאשׁ֔וֹן תַּשְׁבִּ֥יתוּ שְּׂאֹ֖ר מִ/בָּתֵּי/כֶ֑ם כִּ֣י כָּל אֹכֵ֣ל חָמֵ֗ץ וְ/נִכְרְתָ֞ה הַ/נֶּ֤פֶשׁ הַ/הִוא֙ מִ/יִּשְׂרָאֵ֔ל מִ/יּ֥וֹם הָ/רִאשֹׁ֖ן עַד י֥וֹם הַ/שְּׁבִעִֽי
And in the first day there shalbe an holy conuocation, and in the seuenth day there shall be an holy conuocation to you: no maner of worke shalbe done in them, saue that which euery man must eate, that onely may bee done of you.
GenevaAnd in the first day shalbe an holie assemblie: also in the seuenth day shalbe an holy assemblie vnto you: no worke shalbe done in them, saue about that which euery man must eate: that onely may ye do.
וּ/בַ/יּ֤וֹם הָ/רִאשׁוֹן֙ מִקְרָא קֹ֔דֶשׁ וּ/בַ/יּוֹם֙ הַ/שְּׁבִיעִ֔י מִקְרָא קֹ֖דֶשׁ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָ/כֶ֑ם כָּל מְלָאכָה֙ לֹא יֵעָשֶׂ֣ה בָ/הֶ֔ם אַ֚ךְ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֵאָכֵ֣ל לְ/כָל נֶ֔פֶשׁ ה֥וּא לְ/בַדּ֖/וֹ יֵעָשֶׂ֥ה לָ/כֶֽם
And yee shall obserue the feast of vnleauened bread: for in this selfe same day haue I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt; therefore shall ye obserue this day in your generations, by an ordinance for euer.
GenevaYe shall keepe also the feast of vnleauened bread: for that same daye I will bring your armies out of the lande of Egypt: therefore ye shall obserue this day, throughout your posteritie, by an ordinance for euer.
וּ/שְׁמַרְתֶּם֮ אֶת הַ/מַּצּוֹת֒ כִּ֗י בְּ/עֶ֨צֶם֙ הַ/יּ֣וֹם הַ/זֶּ֔ה הוֹצֵ֥אתִי אֶת צִבְאוֹתֵי/כֶ֖ם מֵ/אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וּ/שְׁמַרְתֶּ֞ם אֶת הַ/יּ֥וֹם הַ/זֶּ֛ה לְ/דֹרֹתֵי/כֶ֖ם חֻקַּ֥ת עוֹלָֽם
¶ In the first moneth, on the fourteenth day of the moneth at euen, ye shall eate vnleauened bread vntill the one and twentieth day of the moneth at euen.
GenevaIn the first moneth and the fourteenth day of the moneth at euen, yee shall eate vnleauened bread vnto the one and twentieth day of the moneth at euen.
בָּ/רִאשֹׁ֡ן בְּ/אַרְבָּעָה֩ עָשָׂ֨ר י֤וֹם לַ/חֹ֨דֶשׁ֙ בָּ/עֶ֔רֶב תֹּאכְל֖וּ מַצֹּ֑ת עַ֠ד י֣וֹם הָ/אֶחָ֧ד וְ/עֶשְׂרִ֛ים לַ/חֹ֖דֶשׁ בָּ/עָֽרֶב
Seuen dayes shall there bee no leauen found in your houses: for whosoeuer eateth that which is leauened, euen that soule shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or borne in the land.
GenevaSeuen daies shall no leauen be founde in your houses: for whosoeuer eateth leauened bread, that person shalbe cut off from the Congregation of Israel: whether he bee a stranger, or borne in the land.
שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֔ים שְׂאֹ֕ר לֹ֥א יִמָּצֵ֖א בְּ/בָתֵּי/כֶ֑ם כִּ֣י כָּל אֹכֵ֣ל מַחְמֶ֗צֶת וְ/נִכְרְתָ֞ה הַ/נֶּ֤פֶשׁ הַ/הִוא֙ מֵ/עֲדַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בַּ/גֵּ֖ר וּ/בְ/אֶזְרַ֥ח הָ/אָֽרֶץ
Yee shall eate nothing leauened: in all your habitations shall ye eate vnleauened bread.
GenevaYe shall eate no leauened bread: but in all your habitations shall ye eate vnleauened bread.
כָּל מַחְמֶ֖צֶת לֹ֣א תֹאכֵ֑לוּ בְּ/כֹל֙ מוֹשְׁבֹ֣תֵי/כֶ֔ם תֹּאכְל֖וּ מַצּֽוֹת
¶ Then Moses called for all the Elders of Israel, and said vnto them; Draw out and take you a lambe, according to your families, and kill the Passeouer.
GenevaThen Moses called all the Elders of Israel, and saide vnto them, Choose out and take you for euerie of your housholdes a lambe, and kill the Passeouer.
וַ/יִּקְרָ֥א מֹשֶׁ֛ה לְ/כָל זִקְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וַ/יֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵ/הֶ֑ם מִֽשְׁכ֗וּ וּ/קְח֨וּ לָ/כֶ֥ם צֹ֛אן לְ/מִשְׁפְּחֹתֵי/כֶ֖ם וְ/שַׁחֲט֥וּ הַ/פָּֽסַח
And ye shall take a bunch of hysope, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side postes with the blood that is in the bason: and none of you shall goe out at the doore of his house, vntill the morning.
GenevaAnd take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basen, and strike the lintell, and the doore cheekes with the blood that is in the basen, and let none of you goe out at the doore of his house, vntill the morning.
וּ/לְקַחְתֶּ֞ם אֲגֻדַּ֣ת אֵז֗וֹב וּ/טְבַלְתֶּם֮ בַּ/דָּ֣ם אֲשֶׁר בַּ/סַּף֒ וְ/הִגַּעְתֶּ֤ם אֶל הַ/מַּשְׁקוֹף֙ וְ/אֶל שְׁתֵּ֣י הַ/מְּזוּזֹ֔ת מִן הַ/דָּ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּ/סָּ֑ף וְ/אַתֶּ֗ם לֹ֥א תֵצְא֛וּ אִ֥ישׁ מִ/פֶּֽתַח בֵּית֖/וֹ עַד בֹּֽקֶר
For the LORD wil passe through to smite the Egyptians: and when hee seeth the blood vpon the lintel, and on the two side-postes, the LORD will passe ouer the doore, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in vnto your houses to smite you.
GenevaFor the Lord will passe by to smite the Egyptians: and when he seeth the blood vpon the lintel and on the two doore cheekes, the Lord wil passe ouer the doore, and wil not suffer the destroyer to come into your houses to plague you.
וְ/עָבַ֣ר יְהוָה֮ לִ/נְגֹּ֣ף אֶת מִצְרַיִם֒ וְ/רָאָ֤ה אֶת הַ/דָּם֙ עַל הַ/מַּשְׁק֔וֹף וְ/עַ֖ל שְׁתֵּ֣י הַ/מְּזוּזֹ֑ת וּ/פָסַ֤ח יְהוָה֙ עַל הַ/פֶּ֔תַח וְ/לֹ֤א יִתֵּן֙ הַ/מַּשְׁחִ֔ית לָ/בֹ֥א אֶל בָּתֵּי/כֶ֖ם לִ/נְגֹּֽף
And ye shall obserue this thing for an ordinance to thee, and to thy sonnes for euer.
GenevaTherefore shall ye obserue this thing as an ordinance both for thee and thy sonnes for euer.
וּ/שְׁמַרְתֶּ֖ם אֶת הַ/דָּבָ֣ר הַ/זֶּ֑ה לְ/חָק לְ/ךָ֥ וּ/לְ/בָנֶ֖י/ךָ עַד עוֹלָֽם
And it shall come to passe when yee bee come to the land, which the LORD will giue you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keepe this seruice.
GenevaAnd when ye shall come into the land, which the Lord will giue you as hee hath promised, then ye shall keepe this seruice.
וְ/הָיָ֞ה כִּֽי תָבֹ֣אוּ אֶל הָ/אָ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִתֵּ֧ן יְהוָ֛ה לָ/כֶ֖ם כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֵּ֑ר וּ/שְׁמַרְתֶּ֖ם אֶת הָ/עֲבֹדָ֥ה הַ/זֹּֽאת
And it shall come to passe, when your children shall say vnto you, What meane you by this seruice?
GenevaAnd when your children aske you, What seruice is this ye keepe?
וְ/הָיָ֕ה כִּֽי יֹאמְר֥וּ אֲלֵי/כֶ֖ם בְּנֵי/כֶ֑ם מָ֛ה הָ/עֲבֹדָ֥ה הַ/זֹּ֖את לָ/כֶֽם
That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORDs Passeouer, who passed ouer the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and deliuered our houses. And the people bowed the head, and worshipped.
GenevaThen ye shall saye, It is the sacrifice of the Lordes Passeouer, which passed ouer the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and preserued our houses. Then the people bowed them selues, and worshipped.
וַ/אֲמַרְתֶּ֡ם זֶֽבַח פֶּ֨סַח ה֜וּא לַֽ/יהוָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר פָּ֠סַח עַל בָּתֵּ֤י בְנֵֽי יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ בְּ/מִצְרַ֔יִם בְּ/נָגְפּ֥/וֹ אֶת מִצְרַ֖יִם וְ/אֶת בָּתֵּ֣י/נוּ הִצִּ֑יל וַ/יִּקֹּ֥ד הָ/עָ֖ם וַ/יִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוּֽוּ
And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

וַ/יֵּלְכ֥וּ וַ/יַּֽעֲשׂ֖וּ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה אֶת מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְ/אַהֲרֹ֖ן כֵּ֥ן עָשֽׂוּ
¶ And it came to passe that at midnight the LORD smote all the first borne in the land of Egypt, from the first borne of Pharaoh that sate on his throne, vnto the first borne of the captiue that was in the dungeon, and all the first borne of cattell.
GenevaNowe at midnight, the Lord smote all the first borne in the lande of Egypt, from the first borne of Pharaoh that sate on his throne, vnto the first borne of the captiue that was in prison, and all the first borne of beastes.
וַ/יְהִ֣י בַּ/חֲצִ֣י הַ/לַּ֗יְלָה וַֽ/יהוָה֮ הִכָּ֣ה כָל בְּכוֹר֮ בְּ/אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַיִם֒ מִ/בְּכֹ֤ר פַּרְעֹה֙ הַ/יֹּשֵׁ֣ב עַל כִּסְא֔/וֹ עַ֚ד בְּכ֣וֹר הַ/שְּׁבִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּ/בֵ֣ית הַ/בּ֑וֹר וְ/כֹ֖ל בְּכ֥וֹר בְּהֵמָֽה
And Pharaoh rose vp in the night, hee and all his seruants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt: for there was not a house, where there was not one dead.

וַ/יָּ֨קָם פַּרְעֹ֜ה לַ֗יְלָה ה֤וּא וְ/כָל עֲבָדָי/ו֙ וְ/כָל מִצְרַ֔יִם וַ/תְּהִ֛י צְעָקָ֥ה גְדֹלָ֖ה בְּ/מִצְרָ֑יִם כִּֽי אֵ֣ין בַּ֔יִת אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵֽין שָׁ֖ם מֵֽת
¶ And hee called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise vp, and get you forth from amongst my people, both you and the children of Israel: and goe, serue the LORD, as ye haue said.
GenevaAnd hee called to Moses and to Aaron by night, and saide, Rise vp, get you out from among my people, both yee, and the children of Israel, and goe serue the Lord as ye haue sayde.
וַ/יִּקְרָא֩ לְ/מֹשֶׁ֨ה וּֽ/לְ/אַהֲרֹ֜ן לַ֗יְלָה וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר֙ ק֤וּמוּ צְּאוּ֙ מִ/תּ֣וֹךְ עַמִּ֔/י גַּם אַתֶּ֖ם גַּם בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּ/לְכ֛וּ עִבְד֥וּ אֶת יְהוָ֖ה כְּ/דַבֶּרְ/כֶֽם
Also take your flockes and your heards, as ye haue said: and bee gone, and blesse me also.
GenevaTake also your sheepe and your cattell as yee haue sayde, and depart, and blesse me also.
גַּם צֹאנְ/כֶ֨ם גַּם בְּקַרְ/כֶ֥ם קְח֛וּ כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּרְתֶּ֖ם וָ/לֵ֑כוּ וּ/בֵֽרַכְתֶּ֖ם גַּם אֹתִֽ/י
And the Egyptians were vrgent vpon the people that they might send them out of the land in haste: for they said, We be all dead men.
GenevaAnd the Egyptians did force the people, because they would send them out of the land in haste: for they said, We die all.
וַ/תֶּחֱזַ֤ק מִצְרַ֨יִם֙ עַל הָ/עָ֔ם לְ/מַהֵ֖ר לְ/שַׁלְּחָ֣/ם מִן הָ/אָ֑רֶץ כִּ֥י אָמְר֖וּ כֻּלָּ֥/נוּ מֵתִֽים
And the people tooke their dough before it was leauened, their kneading troughes beeing bound vp in their clothes vpon their shoulders.

וַ/יִּשָּׂ֥א הָ/עָ֛ם אֶת בְּצֵק֖/וֹ טֶ֣רֶם יֶחְמָ֑ץ מִשְׁאֲרֹתָ֛/ם צְרֻרֹ֥ת בְּ/שִׂמְלֹתָ֖/ם עַל שִׁכְמָֽ/ם
And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses: and they borrowed of the Egyptians iewels of siluer, and iewels of gold, and raiment.

וּ/בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל עָשׂ֖וּ כִּ/דְבַ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַֽ/יִּשְׁאֲלוּ֙ מִ/מִּצְרַ֔יִם כְּלֵי כֶ֛סֶף וּ/כְלֵ֥י זָהָ֖ב וּ/שְׂמָלֹֽת
And the LORD gaue the people fauour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent vnto them such things as they required: and they spoiled the Egyptians.

וַֽ/יהוָ֞ה נָתַ֨ן אֶת חֵ֥ן הָ/עָ֛ם בְּ/עֵינֵ֥י מִצְרַ֖יִם וַ/יַּשְׁאִל֑וּ/ם וַֽ/יְנַצְּל֖וּ אֶת מִצְרָֽיִם
¶ And the children of Israel iourneyed from Rameses to Succoth, about sixe hundred thousand on foote that were men, beside children.

And a mixed multitude went vp also with them, and flocks and heards, euen very much cattell.
GenevaAnd a great multitude of sundrie sortes of people went out with them, and sheepe, and beeues, and cattel in great abundance.
וְ/גַם עֵ֥רֶב רַ֖ב עָלָ֣ה אִתָּ֑/ם וְ/צֹ֣אן וּ/בָקָ֔ר מִקְנֶ֖ה כָּבֵ֥ד מְאֹֽד
And they baked vnleauened cakes of the dough, which they brought forth out of Egypt; for it was not leauened: because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselues any victuall.

וַ/יֹּאפ֨וּ אֶת הַ/בָּצֵ֜ק אֲשֶׁ֨ר הוֹצִ֧יאוּ מִ/מִּצְרַ֛יִם עֻגֹ֥ת מַצּ֖וֹת כִּ֣י לֹ֣א חָמֵ֑ץ כִּֽי גֹרְשׁ֣וּ מִ/מִּצְרַ֗יִם וְ/לֹ֤א יָֽכְלוּ֙ לְ/הִתְמַהְמֵ֔הַּ וְ/גַם צֵדָ֖ה לֹא עָשׂ֥וּ לָ/הֶֽם
¶ Now the soiourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was foure hundred and thirtie yeeres.

וּ/מוֹשַׁב֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָשְׁב֖וּ בְּ/מִצְרָ֑יִם שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה וְ/אַרְבַּ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָֽה
And it came to passe at the end of the foure hundred and thirtie yeeres, euen the selfe same day it came to passe, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.
GenevaAnd when the foure hundreth and thirtie yeeres were expired, euen the selfe same day departed all the hostes of the Lord out of the land of Egypt.
וַ/יְהִ֗י מִ/קֵּץ֙ שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה וְ/אַרְבַּ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַ/יְהִ֗י בְּ/עֶ֨צֶם֙ הַ/יּ֣וֹם הַ/זֶּ֔ה יָֽצְא֛וּ כָּל צִבְא֥וֹת יְהוָ֖ה מֵ/אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם
It is a night to be much obserued vnto the LORD, for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: This is that night of the LORD to be obserued of all the children of Israel, in their generations.
GenevaIt is a night to be kept holie to the Lord, because he brought them out of the lande of Egypt: this is that night of the Lord, which all the children of Israel must keepe throughout their generations.
לֵ֣יל שִׁמֻּרִ֥ים הוּא֙ לַֽ/יהוָ֔ה לְ/הוֹצִיאָ֖/ם מֵ/אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם הֽוּא הַ/לַּ֤יְלָה הַ/זֶּה֙ לַֽ/יהוָ֔ה שִׁמֻּרִ֛ים לְ/כָל בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לְ/דֹרֹתָֽ/ם
¶ And the LORD saide vnto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the Passeouer: there shall no stranger eate thereof.

וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְ/אַהֲרֹ֔ן זֹ֖את חֻקַּ֣ת הַ/פָּ֑סַח כָּל בֶּן נֵכָ֖ר לֹא יֹ֥אכַל בּֽ/וֹ
But euery mans seruant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eate thereof.

A forreiner, and an hired seruant shall not eate thereof.

In one house shall it be eaten, thou shalt not carie foorth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house, neither shall ye breake a bone thereof.

בְּ/בַ֤יִת אֶחָד֙ יֵאָכֵ֔ל לֹא תוֹצִ֧יא מִן הַ/בַּ֛יִת מִן הַ/בָּשָׂ֖ר ח֑וּצָ/ה וְ/עֶ֖צֶם לֹ֥א תִשְׁבְּרוּ בֽ/וֹ
All the Congregation of Israel shall keepe it.
GenevaAll the Congregation of Israel shall obserue it.
כָּל עֲדַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל יַעֲשׂ֥וּ אֹתֽ/וֹ
And when a stranger shall soiourne with thee, and will keepe the Passeouer to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come neere, and keepe it: and he shall be as one that is borne in the land: for no vncircumcised person shall eate thereof.
GenevaBut if a stranger dwell with thee, and will obserue the Passeouer of the Lord, let him circumcise all the males, that belong vnto him, and then let him come and obserue it, and he shall be as one that is borne in the land: for none vncircumcised person shall eate thereof.
וְ/כִֽי יָג֨וּר אִתְּ/ךָ֜ גֵּ֗ר וְ/עָ֣שָׂה פֶסַח֮ לַ/יהוָה֒ הִמּ֧וֹל ל֣/וֹ כָל זָכָ֗ר וְ/אָז֙ יִקְרַ֣ב לַ/עֲשֹׂת֔/וֹ וְ/הָיָ֖ה כְּ/אֶזְרַ֣ח הָ/אָ֑רֶץ וְ/כָל עָרֵ֖ל לֹֽא יֹ֥אכַל בּֽ/וֹ
One law shall be to him that is home-borne, and vnto the stranger that soiourneth among you.
GenevaOne lawe shalbe to him that is borne in the land, and to the stranger that dwelleth among you.
תּוֹרָ֣ה אַחַ֔ת יִהְיֶ֖ה לָֽ/אֶזְרָ֑ח וְ/לַ/גֵּ֖ר הַ/גָּ֥ר בְּ/תוֹכְ/כֶֽם
Thus did all the children of Israel: as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

וַ/יַּֽעֲשׂ֖וּ כָּל בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה אֶת מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְ/אֶֽת אַהֲרֹ֖ן כֵּ֥ן עָשֽׂוּ
And it came to passe the selfe same day, that the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, by their armies.
