Psalms 149

Praise yee the LORD: Sing vnto the LORD a new song: and his prayse in the Congregation of Saints.

GenevaPraise ye the Lord. Sing ye vnto the Lord a newe song: let his prayse be heard in the Congregation of Saints.

הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ שִׁ֣ירוּ לַֽ֭/יהוָה שִׁ֣יר חָדָ֑שׁ תְּ֝הִלָּת֗/וֹ בִּ/קְהַ֥ל חֲסִידִֽים

Let Israel reioyce in him that made him: let the children of Zion bee ioyfull in their King.

GenevaLet Israel reioyce in him that made him, and let ye children of Zion reioyce in their King.

יִשְׂמַ֣ח יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל בְּ/עֹשָׂ֑י/ו בְּנֵֽי צִ֝יּ֗וֹן יָגִ֥ילוּ בְ/מַלְכָּֽ/ם

Let them praise his Name in the dance: let them sing praises vnto him with the timbrell and harpe.

GenevaLet them prayse his Name with the flute: let them sing prayses vnto him with the timbrell and harpe.

יְהַֽלְל֣וּ שְׁמ֣/וֹ בְ/מָח֑וֹל בְּ/תֹ֥ף וְ֝/כִנּ֗וֹר יְזַמְּרוּ לֽ/וֹ

For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: hee will beautifie the meeke with saluation.

GenevaFor the Lord hath pleasure in his people: he will make the meeke glorious by deliuerance.

כִּֽי רוֹצֶ֣ה יְהוָ֣ה בְּ/עַמּ֑/וֹ יְפָאֵ֥ר עֲ֝נָוִ֗ים בִּ/ישׁוּעָֽה

Let the Saints be ioyfull in glory: let them sing aloude vpon their beddes.

GenevaLet ye Saints be ioyfull with glorie: let them sing loud vpon their beddes.

יַעְלְז֣וּ חֲסִידִ֣ים בְּ/כָב֑וֹד יְ֝רַנְּנ֗וּ עַל מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָֽ/ם

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth: and a two edged sword in their hand:

GenevaLet the high Actes of God bee in their mouth, and a two edged sword in their hands,

רוֹמְמ֣וֹת אֵ֭ל בִּ/גְרוֹנָ֑/ם וְ/חֶ֖רֶב פִּֽיפִיּ֣וֹת בְּ/יָדָֽ/ם

To execute vengeance vpon the heathen: and punishments vpon the people.

GenevaTo execute vengeance vpon the heathen, and corrections among the people:

לַ/עֲשׂ֣וֹת נְ֭קָמָה בַּ/גּוֹיִ֑ם תּֽ֝וֹכֵחֹ֗ת בַּל אֻמִּֽים

To binde their Kings with chaines: and their Nobles with fetters of yron.

GenevaTo binde their Kings in chaines, and their nobles with fetters of yron,

לֶ/אְסֹ֣ר מַלְכֵי/הֶ֣ם בְּ/זִקִּ֑ים וְ֝/נִכְבְּדֵי/הֶ֗ם בְּ/כַבְלֵ֥י בַרְזֶֽל

To execute vpon them the iudgement written: This honour haue all his Saints. Praise ye the LORD.

GenevaThat they may execute vpon them the iudgement that is written: this honour shall be to all his Saintes. Prayse ye the Lord.

לַ/עֲשׂ֤וֹת בָּ/הֶ֨ם מִשְׁפָּ֬ט כָּת֗וּב הָדָ֣ר ה֭וּא לְ/כָל חֲסִידָ֗י/ו הַֽלְלוּ יָֽהּ
