Chapter 147
Psalms 147
Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises vnto our God: for it is pleasant, and praise is comely.

הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ כִּי ט֭וֹב זַמְּרָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑י/נוּ כִּֽי נָ֝עִים נָאוָ֥ה תְהִלָּֽה
The LORD doeth build vp Ierusalem: he gathereth together the out-casts of Israel.
GenevaThe Lord doth builde vp Ierusalem, and gather together the dispersed of Israel.
בּוֹנֵ֣ה יְרוּשָׁלִַ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה נִדְחֵ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל יְכַנֵּֽס
Hee healeth the broken in heart: and bindeth vp their wounds.
GenevaHe healeth those that are broken in heart, and bindeth vp their sores.
הָ֭/רֹפֵא לִ/שְׁב֣וּרֵי לֵ֑ב וּ֝/מְחַבֵּ֗שׁ לְ/עַצְּבוֹתָֽ/ם
He telleth the number of the stars: he calleth them all by their names.
GenevaHe counteth the nomber of the starres, and calleth them all by their names.
מוֹנֶ֣ה מִ֭סְפָּר לַ/כּוֹכָבִ֑ים לְ֝/כֻלָּ֗/ם שֵׁמ֥וֹת יִקְרָֽא
Great is our Lord, and of great power: his vnderstanding is infinite.
GenevaGreat is our Lord, and great is his power: his wisdome is infinite.
גָּד֣וֹל אֲדוֹנֵ֣י/נוּ וְ/רַב כֹּ֑חַ לִ֝/תְבוּנָת֗/וֹ אֵ֣ין מִסְפָּֽר
The LORD lifteth vp the meeke: hee casteth the wicked downe to the ground.
GenevaThe Lord relieueth the meeke, and abaseth the wicked to the ground.
מְעוֹדֵ֣ד עֲנָוִ֣ים יְהוָ֑ה מַשְׁפִּ֖יל רְשָׁעִ֣ים עֲדֵי אָֽרֶץ
Sing vnto the LORD with thankesgiuing: sing prayse vpon the harpe vnto our God:

עֱנ֣וּ לַ/יהוָ֣ה בְּ/תוֹדָ֑ה זַמְּר֖וּ לֵ/אלֹהֵ֣י/נוּ בְ/כִנּֽוֹר
Who couereth the heauen with cloudes, who prepareth raine for the earth: who maketh grasse to growe vpon the mountaines.

הַֽ/מְכַסֶּ֬ה שָׁמַ֨יִם בְּ/עָבִ֗ים הַ/מֵּכִ֣ין לָ/אָ֣רֶץ מָטָ֑ר הַ/מַּצְמִ֖יחַ הָרִ֣ים חָצִֽיר
He giueth to the beast his foode: and to the yong rauens which crie.
GenevaWhich giueth to beasts their foode, and to the yong rauens that crie.
נוֹתֵ֣ן לִ/בְהֵמָ֣ה לַחְמָ֑/הּ לִ/בְנֵ֥י עֹ֝רֵ֗ב אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִקְרָֽאוּ
Hee delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
GenevaHe hath not pleasure in the strength of an horse, neither delighteth he in the legs of man.
לֹ֤א בִ/גְבוּרַ֣ת הַ/סּ֣וּס יֶחְפָּ֑ץ לֹֽא בְ/שׁוֹקֵ֖י הָ/אִ֣ישׁ יִרְצֶֽה
The LORD taketh pleasure in them that feare him: in those that hope in his mercie.
GenevaBut the Lord deliteth in them that feare him, and attende vpon his mercie.
רוֹצֶ֣ה יְ֭הוָה אֶת יְרֵאָ֑י/ו אֶת הַֽ/מְיַחֲלִ֥ים לְ/חַסְדּֽ/וֹ
Praise the LORD, O Ierusalem: praise thy God, O Zion.
GenevaPrayse the Lord, O Ierusalem: prayse thy God, O Zion.
שַׁבְּחִ֣י יְ֭רוּשָׁלִַם אֶת יְהוָ֑ה הַֽלְלִ֖י אֱלֹהַ֣יִ/ךְ צִיּֽוֹן
For hee hath strengthened the barres of thy gates: hee hath blessed thy children within thee.
GenevaFor he hath made the barres of thy gates strong, and hath blessed thy children within thee.
כִּֽי חִ֭זַּק בְּרִיחֵ֣י שְׁעָרָ֑יִ/ךְ בֵּרַ֖ךְ בָּנַ֣יִ/ךְ בְּ/קִרְבֵּֽ/ךְ
He maketh peace in thy borders: and filleth thee with the finest of the wheate.
GenevaHe setteth peace in thy borders, and satisfieth thee with the floure of wheate.
הַ/שָּׂם גְּבוּלֵ֥/ךְ שָׁל֑וֹם חֵ֥לֶב חִ֝טִּ֗ים יַשְׂבִּיעֵֽ/ךְ
He sendeth forth his commandement vpon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
GenevaHe sendeth foorth his commandement vpon earth, and his worde runneth very swiftly.
הַ/שֹּׁלֵ֣חַ אִמְרָת֣/וֹ אָ֑רֶץ עַד מְ֝הֵרָ֗ה יָר֥וּץ דְּבָרֽ/וֹ
He giueth snow like wooll: he scattereth the hoare frost like ashes.
GenevaHe giueth snowe like wooll, and scattereth the hoare frost like ashes.
הַ/נֹּתֵ֣ן שֶׁ֣לֶג כַּ/צָּ֑מֶר כְּ֝פ֗וֹר כָּ/אֵ֥פֶר יְפַזֵּֽר
He casteth forth his yce like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
GenevaHe casteth foorth his yce like morsels: who can abide the colde thereof?
מַשְׁלִ֣יךְ קַֽרְח֣/וֹ כְ/פִתִּ֑ים לִ/פְנֵ֥י קָ֝רָת֗/וֹ מִ֣י יַעֲמֹֽד
He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
GenevaHe sendeth his worde and melteth them: he causeth his winde to blowe, and the waters flowe.
יִשְׁלַ֣ח דְּבָר֣/וֹ וְ/יַמְסֵ֑/ם יַשֵּׁ֥ב ר֝וּח֗/וֹ יִזְּלוּ מָֽיִם
He sheweth his word vnto Iacob: his statutes and his iudgements vnto Israel.
GenevaHe sheweth his word vnto Iaakob, his statutes and his iudgements vnto Israel.
מַגִּ֣יד דבר/ו לְ/יַעֲקֹ֑ב חֻקָּ֥י/ו וּ֝/מִשְׁפָּטָ֗י/ו לְ/יִשְׂרָאֵֽל
He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his iudgements, they haue not knowen them. Praise yee the LORD.
GenevaHe hath not dealt so with euery nation, neither haue they knowen his iudgements. Prayse ye the Lord.
לֹ֘א עָ֤שָׂה כֵ֨ן לְ/כָל גּ֗וֹי וּ/מִשְׁפָּטִ֥ים בַּל יְדָע֗וּ/ם הַֽלְלוּ יָֽהּ
