Deliuer me, O LORD, from the euill man: preserue me from the violent man.
GenevaTo him that excelleth. A Psalme of David. Deliuer me, O Lord, from the euill man: preserue me from the cruel man:
לַ/מְנַצֵּ֗חַ מִזְמ֥וֹר לְ/דָוִֽד
Which imagine mischiefes in their heart: continually are they gathered together for warre.
GenevaWhich imagine euill things in their heart, and make warre continually.
חַלְּצֵ֣/נִי יְ֭הוָה מֵ/אָדָ֣ם רָ֑ע מֵ/אִ֖ישׁ חֲמָסִ֣ים תִּנְצְרֵֽ/נִי
They haue sharpned their tongues like a serpent: adders poison is vnder their lips. Selah.

אֲשֶׁ֤ר חָשְׁב֣וּ רָע֣וֹת בְּ/לֵ֑ב כָּל י֝֗וֹם יָג֥וּרוּ מִלְחָמֽוֹת
Keepe me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked, preserue me from the violent man: who haue purposed to ouerthrow my goings.
GenevaKeepe mee, O Lord, from the handes of the wicked: preserue mee from the cruell man, which purposeth to cause my steppes to slide.
שָֽׁנֲנ֣וּ לְשׁוֹנָ/ם֮ כְּֽמוֹ נָ֫חָ֥שׁ חֲמַ֥ת עַכְשׁ֑וּב תַּ֖חַת שְׂפָתֵ֣י/מוֹ סֶֽלָה
The proude haue hid a snare for me and cords, they haue spread a net by the way side: they haue set grinnes for me. Selah.
GenevaThe proude haue layde a snare for me, and spred a nette with cordes in my pathway, and set grennes for me. Selah.
שָׁמְרֵ֤/נִי יְהוָ֨ה מִ֘/ידֵ֤י רָשָׁ֗ע מֵ/אִ֣ישׁ חֲמָסִ֣ים תִּנְצְרֵ֑/נִי אֲשֶׁ֥ר חָ֝שְׁב֗וּ לִ/דְח֥וֹת פְּעָמָֽ/י
I said vnto the LORD, Thou art my God: heare the voyce of my supplications, O LORD.
GenevaTherefore I saide vnto the Lord, Thou art my God: heare, O Lord, the voyce of my prayers.
טָֽמְנֽוּ גֵאִ֨ים פַּ֡ח לִ֗/י וַ/חֲבָלִ֗ים פָּ֣רְשׂוּ רֶ֭שֶׁת לְ/יַד מַעְגָּ֑ל מֹקְשִׁ֖ים שָֽׁתוּ לִ֣/י סֶֽלָה
O GOD the Lord, the strength of my saluation: thou hast couered my head in the day of battell.
GenevaO Lord God the strength of my saluation, thou hast couered mine head in the day of battel.
אָמַ֣רְתִּי לַ֭/יהוָה אֵ֣לִ/י אָ֑תָּה הַאֲזִ֥ינָ/ה יְ֝הוָ֗ה ק֣וֹל תַּחֲנוּנָֽ/י
Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked deuice, lest they exalt themselues. Selah.
GenevaLet not the wicked haue his desire, O Lord: performe not his wicked thought, least they be proude. Selah.
יְהֹוִ֣ה אֲ֭דֹנָ/י עֹ֣ז יְשׁוּעָתִ֑/י סַכֹּ֥תָה לְ֝/רֹאשִׁ֗/י בְּ/י֣וֹם נָֽשֶׁק
As for the head of those that compasse me about: let the mischiefe of their owne lips couer them.
GenevaAs for the chiefe of them, that compasse me about, let the mischiefe of their owne lippes come vpon them.
אַל תִּתֵּ֣ן יְ֭הוָה מַאֲוַיֵּ֣י רָשָׁ֑ע זְמָמ֥/וֹ אַל תָּ֝פֵ֗ק יָר֥וּמוּ סֶֽלָה
Let burning coales fall vpon them, let them be cast into the fire: into deepe pits, that they rise not vp againe.

רֹ֥אשׁ מְסִבָּ֑/י עֲמַ֖ל שְׂפָתֵ֣י/מוֹ יכסו/מו
Let not an euill speaker bee established in the earth: euill shall hunt the violent man to ouerthrow him.
GenevaFor the backbiter shall not be established vpon the earth: euill shall hunt the cruell man to destruction.
ימיטו עֲלֵי/הֶ֗ם גֶּֽחָ֫לִ֥ים בָּ/אֵ֥שׁ יַפִּלֵ֑/ם בְּ֝/מַהֲמֹר֗וֹת בַּֽל יָקֽוּמוּ
I know that the LORD will maintaine the cause of the afflicted: and the right of the poore.
GenevaI know that the Lord will auenge the afflicted, and iudge the poore.
אִ֥ישׁ לָשׁוֹן֮ בַּל יִכּ֪וֹן בָּ֫/אָ֥רֶץ אִישׁ חָמָ֥ס רָ֑ע יְ֝צוּדֶ֗/נּוּ לְ/מַדְחֵפֹֽת
Surely the righteous shall giue thankes vnto thy Name: the vpright shall dwell in thy presence.
GenevaSurely the righteous shall prayse thy Name, and the iust shall dwell in thy presence.
ידעת כִּֽי יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה יְ֭הוָה דִּ֣ין עָנִ֑י מִ֝שְׁפַּ֗ט אֶבְיֹנִֽים
