A Song of degrees.
Vnto thee lift I vp mine eyes: O thou that dwellest in the heauens.
GenevaA song of degrees. I lift vp mine eyes to thee, that dwellest in the heauens.
שִׁ֗יר הַֽ/מַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת אֵ֭לֶי/ךָ נָשָׂ֣אתִי אֶת עֵינַ֑/י הַ֝/יֹּשְׁבִ֗י בַּ/שָּׁמָֽיִם
Beholde, as the eyes of seruants looke vnto the hand of their Masters, and as the eyes of a maiden, vnto the hand of her mistresse: so our eyes waite vpon the LORD our God, vntill that he haue mercy vpon vs.

הִנֵּ֨ה כְ/עֵינֵ֪י עֲבָדִ֡ים אֶל יַ֤ד אֲֽדוֹנֵי/הֶ֗ם כְּ/עֵינֵ֣י שִׁפְחָה֮ אֶל יַ֪ד גְּבִ֫רְתָּ֥/הּ כֵּ֣ן עֵ֭ינֵי/נוּ אֶל יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑י/נוּ עַ֝֗ד שֶׁ/יְּחָנֵּֽ/נוּ
Haue mercy vpon vs, O LORD, haue mercy vpon vs: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
GenevaHaue mercie vpon vs, O Lord, haue mercie vpon vs: for we haue suffered too much contempt.
חָנֵּ֣/נוּ יְהוָ֣ה חָנֵּ֑/נוּ כִּֽי רַ֝֗ב שָׂבַ֥עְנוּ בֽוּז
Our soule is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease: and with the contempt of the proud.
GenevaOur soule is filled too full of ye mocking of the wealthy, and of the despitefulnes of the proude.
רַבַּת֮ שָֽׂבְעָה לָּ֪/הּ נַ֫פְשֵׁ֥/נוּ הַ/לַּ֥עַג הַ/שַּׁאֲנַנִּ֑ים הַ֝/בּ֗וּז לִ/גְאֵ֥יוֹנִֽים
