Chapter 24
Leviticus 24
And the LORD spake vnto Moses, saying,

וַ/יְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּ/אמֹֽר
Command the children of Israel, that they bring vnto thee pure oyle Oliue, beaten, for the light, to cause the lampes to burne continually.
GenevaCommande the children of Israel that they bring vnto thee pure oyle oliue beaten, for the light, to cause ye lampes to burne continually.
צַ֞ו אֶת בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וְ/יִקְח֨וּ אֵלֶ֜י/ךָ שֶׁ֣מֶן זַ֥יִת זָ֛ךְ כָּתִ֖ית לַ/מָּא֑וֹר לְ/הַעֲלֹ֥ת נֵ֖ר תָּמִֽיד
Without the Uaile of the Testimonie, in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, shal Aaron order it from the euening vnto the morning, before the LORD continually: It shall be a Statute for euer in your generations.
GenevaWithout the vaile of the Testimonie, in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, shall Aaron dresse them, both euen and morning before the Lord alwayes: this shalbe a lawe for euer through your generations.
מִ/חוּץ֩ לְ/פָרֹ֨כֶת הָ/עֵדֻ֜ת בְּ/אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֗ד יַעֲרֹךְ֩ אֹת֨/וֹ אַהֲרֹ֜ן מֵ/עֶ֧רֶב עַד בֹּ֛קֶר לִ/פְנֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה תָּמִ֑יד חֻקַּ֥ת עוֹלָ֖ם לְ/דֹרֹֽתֵי/כֶֽם
He shall order the lampes vpon the pure Candlesticke before the LORD continually.
GenevaHe shall dresse the lampes vpon the pure Candlesticke before the Lord perpetually.
עַ֚ל הַ/מְּנֹרָ֣ה הַ/טְּהֹרָ֔ה יַעֲרֹ֖ךְ אֶת הַ/נֵּר֑וֹת לִ/פְנֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה תָּמִֽיד
¶ And thou shalt take fine flowre, and bake twelue cakes thereof: two tenth deales shall be in one cake.
GenevaAlso thou shalt take fine floure, and bake twelue cakes thereof: two tenth deales shalbe in one cake.
וְ/לָקַחְתָּ֣ סֹ֔לֶת וְ/אָפִיתָ֣ אֹתָ֔/הּ שְׁתֵּ֥ים עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה חַלּ֑וֹת שְׁנֵי֙ עֶשְׂרֹנִ֔ים יִהְיֶ֖ה הַֽ/חַלָּ֥ה הָ/אֶחָֽת
And thou shalt set them in two rowes, sixe on a row vpon the pure Table, before the LORD.
GenevaAnd thou shalt set them in two rowes, six in a rowe vpon the pure table before the Lord.
וְ/שַׂמְתָּ֥ אוֹתָ֛/ם שְׁתַּ֥יִם מַֽעֲרָכ֖וֹת שֵׁ֣שׁ הַֽ/מַּעֲרָ֑כֶת עַ֛ל הַ/שֻּׁלְחָ֥ן הַ/טָּהֹ֖ר לִ/פְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה
And thou shalt put pure frankincense vpon ech row, that it may bee on the bread for a memorial, euen an offering made by fire vnto the LORD.
GenevaThou shalt also put pure incense vpon the rowes, that in steade of the bread it may bee for a remembrance, and an offering made by fire to the Lord.
וְ/נָתַתָּ֥ עַל הַֽ/מַּעֲרֶ֖כֶת לְבֹנָ֣ה זַכָּ֑ה וְ/הָיְתָ֤ה לַ/לֶּ֨חֶם֙ לְ/אַזְכָּרָ֔ה אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַֽ/יהוָֽה
Euery Sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an euerlasting couenant.
GenevaEuery Sabbath hee shall put them in rowes before the Lord euermore, receiuing them of the children of Israel for an euerlasting couenant.
בְּ/י֨וֹם הַ/שַּׁבָּ֜ת בְּ/י֣וֹם הַ/שַּׁבָּ֗ת יַֽעַרְכֶ֛/נּוּ לִ/פְנֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה תָּמִ֑יד מֵ/אֵ֥ת בְּנֵֽי יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּרִ֥ית עוֹלָֽם
And it shall be Aarons and his sonnes, and they shall eate it in the holy place: for it is most holy vnto him, of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, by a perpetuall statute.
GenevaAnd the bread shalbe Aarons and his sonnes, and they shall eate it in the holie place: for it is most holie vnto him of the offrings of the Lord made by fire by a perpetuall ordinance.
וְ/הָֽיְתָה֙ לְ/אַהֲרֹ֣ן וּ/לְ/בָנָ֔י/ו וַ/אֲכָלֻ֖/הוּ בְּ/מָק֣וֹם קָדֹ֑שׁ כִּ֡י קֹדֶשׁ֩ קָֽדָשִׁ֨ים ה֥וּא ל֛/וֹ מֵ/אִשֵּׁ֥י יְהוָ֖ה חָק עוֹלָֽם
¶ And the sonne of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this sonne of the Israelitish woman, and a man of Israel stroue together in the campe.
GenevaAnd there went out among the children of Israel the sonne of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian: and this sonne of the Israelitish woman, and a man of Israel stroue together in the hoste.
וַ/יֵּצֵא֙ בֶּן אִשָּׁ֣ה יִשְׂרְאֵלִ֔ית וְ/הוּא֙ בֶּן אִ֣ישׁ מִצְרִ֔י בְּ/ת֖וֹךְ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַ/יִּנָּצוּ֙ בַּֽ/מַּחֲנֶ֔ה בֶּ֚ן הַ/יִּשְׂרְאֵלִ֔ית וְ/אִ֖ישׁ הַ/יִּשְׂרְאֵלִֽי
And the Israelitish womans sonne blasphemed the name of the LORD, and cursed, and they brought him vnto Moses: and his mothers name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

וַ֠/יִּקֹּב בֶּן הָֽ/אִשָּׁ֨ה הַ/יִּשְׂרְאֵלִ֤ית אֶת הַ/שֵּׁם֙ וַ/יְקַלֵּ֔ל וַ/יָּבִ֥יאוּ אֹת֖/וֹ אֶל מֹשֶׁ֑ה וְ/שֵׁ֥ם אִמּ֛/וֹ שְׁלֹמִ֥ית בַּת דִּבְרִ֖י לְ/מַטֵּה דָֽן
And they put him in ward, that the minde of the LORD might bee shewed them.
GenevaAnd they put him in warde, till he tolde them the minde of the Lord.
וַ/יַּנִּיחֻ֖/הוּ בַּ/מִּשְׁמָ֑ר לִ/פְרֹ֥שׁ לָ/הֶ֖ם עַל פִּ֥י יְהוָֽה
And the LORD spake vnto Moses, saying,
GenevaThen the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
וַ/יְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּ/אמֹֽר
Bring forth him that hath cursed, without the Campe, and let all that heard him, lay their hands vpon his head, and let all the Congregation stone him.
GenevaBring the blasphemer without the hoste, and let all that heard him, put their handes vpon his head, and let all the Congregation stone him.
הוֹצֵ֣א אֶת הַֽ/מְקַלֵּ֗ל אֶל מִ/חוּץ֙ לַֽ/מַּחֲנֶ֔ה וְ/סָמְכ֧וּ כָֽל הַ/שֹּׁמְעִ֛ים אֶת יְדֵי/הֶ֖ם עַל רֹאשׁ֑/וֹ וְ/רָגְמ֥וּ אֹת֖/וֹ כָּל הָ/עֵדָֽה
And thou shalt speake vnto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoeuer curseth his God, shall beare his sinne.
GenevaAnd thou shalt speake vnto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoeuer curseth his God, shall beare his sinne.
וְ/אֶל בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל תְּדַבֵּ֣ר לֵ/אמֹ֑ר אִ֥ישׁ אִ֛ישׁ כִּֽי יְקַלֵּ֥ל אֱלֹהָ֖י/ו וְ/נָשָׂ֥א חֶטְאֽ/וֹ
And hee that blasphemeth the Name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the Congregation shall certainely stone him: Aswell the stranger, as he that is borne in the land, when he blasphemeth the Name of the LORD, shall be put to death.
GenevaAnd he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shalbe put to death: all the Congregation shall stone him to death: aswell the stranger, as he that is borne in the lande: when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, let him beslaine.
וְ/נֹקֵ֤ב שֵׁם יְהוָה֙ מ֣וֹת יוּמָ֔ת רָג֥וֹם יִרְגְּמוּ ב֖/וֹ כָּל הָ/עֵדָ֑ה כַּ/גֵּר֙ כָּֽ/אֶזְרָ֔ח בְּ/נָקְב/וֹ שֵׁ֖ם יוּמָֽת
¶ And he that killeth any man, shall surely be put to death.
GenevaHe also that killeth any man, he shall be put to death.
וְ/אִ֕ישׁ כִּ֥י יַכֶּ֖ה כָּל נֶ֣פֶשׁ אָדָ֑ם מ֖וֹת יוּמָֽת
And he that killeth a beast, shall make it good; beast for beast.
GenevaAnd he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it, beast for beast.
וּ/מַכֵּ֥ה נֶֽפֶשׁ בְּהֵמָ֖ה יְשַׁלְּמֶ֑/נָּה נֶ֖פֶשׁ תַּ֥חַת נָֽפֶשׁ
And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shal it be done to him:
GenevaAlso if a man cause any blemish in his neighbour: as he hath done, so shall it be done to him.
וְ/אִ֕ישׁ כִּֽי יִתֵּ֥ן מ֖וּם בַּ/עֲמִית֑/וֹ כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה כֵּ֖ן יֵעָ֥שֶׂה לּֽ/וֹ
Breach, for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him againe.
GenevaBreache for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: such a blemish as he hath made in any, such shalbe repayed to him.
שֶׁ֚בֶר תַּ֣חַת שֶׁ֔בֶר עַ֚יִן תַּ֣חַת עַ֔יִן שֵׁ֖ן תַּ֣חַת שֵׁ֑ן כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִתֵּ֥ן מוּם֙ בָּֽ/אָדָ֔ם כֵּ֖ן יִנָּ֥תֶן בּֽ/וֹ
And hee that killeth a beast, hee shall restore it: and hee that killeth a man, he shall be put to death.
GenevaAnd he that killeth a beast shall restore it: but he that killeth a man shall be slaine.
וּ/מַכֵּ֥ה בְהֵמָ֖ה יְשַׁלְּמֶ֑/נָּה וּ/מַכֵּ֥ה אָדָ֖ם יוּמָֽת
Ye shall haue one maner of law, aswell for the stranger, as for one of your owne countrey: for I am the LORD your God.
GenevaYe shall haue one lawe: it shalbe aswel for the stranger as for one borne in the countrey: for I am the Lord your God.
מִשְׁפַּ֤ט אֶחָד֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָ/כֶ֔ם כַּ/גֵּ֥ר כָּ/אֶזְרָ֖ח יִהְיֶ֑ה כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵי/כֶֽם
¶ And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring foorth him that had cursed, out of the Campe, and stone him with stones: and the children of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses.
GenevaThen Moses tolde the children of Israel, and they brought the blasphemer out of the hoste, and stoned him with stones: so the children of Israel did as the Lord had commanded Moses.
וַ/יְדַבֵּ֣ר מֹשֶׁה֮ אֶל בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ וַ/יּוֹצִ֣יאוּ אֶת הַֽ/מְקַלֵּ֗ל אֶל מִ/חוּץ֙ לַֽ/מַּחֲנֶ֔ה וַ/יִּרְגְּמ֥וּ אֹת֖/וֹ אָ֑בֶן וּ/בְנֵֽי יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל עָשׂ֔וּ כַּֽ/אֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת מֹשֶֽׁה
