Ezekiel 15

And the word of þ LORD came vnto me, saying.

GenevaAnd thee word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

וַ/יְהִ֥י דְבַר יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥/י לֵ/אמֹֽר

Sonne of man, What is the Uine tree more then any tree, or then a branch which is among the trees of the forrest?

GenevaSonne of man, what commeth of the vine tree aboue all other trees? and of the vine braunch, which is among the trees of ye forest?

בֶּן אָדָ֕ם מַה יִּֽהְיֶ֥ה עֵץ הַ/גֶּ֖פֶן מִ/כָּל עֵ֑ץ הַ/זְּמוֹרָ֕ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָיָ֖ה בַּ/עֲצֵ֥י הַ/יָּֽעַר

Shall wood bee taken thereof to doe any worke? or, will men take a pin of it, to hang any vessell thereon?

GenevaShall wood bee taken thereof to doe any worke? or wil men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?

הֲ/יֻקַּ֤ח מִמֶּ֨/נּוּ֙ עֵ֔ץ לַ/עֲשׂ֖וֹת לִ/מְלָאכָ֑ה אִם יִקְח֤וּ מִמֶּ֨/נּוּ֙ יָתֵ֔ד לִ/תְל֥וֹת עָלָ֖י/ו כָּל כֶּֽלִי

Behold, it is cast into the fire for fewell: the fire deuoureth both the ends of it, and the middest of it is burnt. Is it meete for any worke?

GenevaBehold, it is cast in the fire to be consumed: the fire consumeth both the endes of it, and the middes of it is burnt. Is it meete for any worke?

הִנֵּ֥ה לָ/אֵ֖שׁ נִתַּ֣ן לְ/אָכְלָ֑ה אֵת֩ שְׁנֵ֨י קְצוֹתָ֜י/ו אָכְלָ֤ה הָ/אֵשׁ֙ וְ/תוֹכ֣/וֹ נָחָ֔ר הֲ/יִצְלַ֖ח לִ/מְלָאכָֽה

Behold, when it was whole it was meete for no worke: how much lesse shall it be meete yet for any worke, when the fire hath deuoured it, and it is burned?

GenevaBehold, when it was whole, it was meete for no worke: how much lesse shall it bee meete for any worke, when the fire hath consumed it, and it is burnt?

הִנֵּה֙ בִּֽ/הְיוֹת֣/וֹ תָמִ֔ים לֹ֥א יֵֽעָשֶׂ֖ה לִ/מְלָאכָ֑ה אַ֣ף כִּי אֵ֤שׁ אֲכָלַ֨תְ/הוּ֙ וַ/יֵּחָ֔ר וְ/נַעֲשָׂ֥ה ע֖וֹד לִ/מְלָאכָֽה

¶ Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the Uine tree among the trees of the forrest, which I haue giuen to the fire for fewell, so will I giue the inhabitants of Ierusalem.

GenevaTherefore thus sayth the Lord God, As the vine tree, that is among the trees of the forest, which I haue giuen to the fire to be consumed, so will I giue the inhabitants of Ierusalem.

לָ/כֵ֗ן כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣/י יְהוִ֔ה כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֤ר עֵץ הַ/גֶּ֨פֶן֙ בְּ/עֵ֣ץ הַ/יַּ֔עַר אֲשֶׁר נְתַתִּ֥י/ו לָ/אֵ֖שׁ לְ/אָכְלָ֑ה כֵּ֣ן נָתַ֔תִּי אֶת יֹשְׁבֵ֖י יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם

And I will set my face against them, they shall goe out from one fire, and another fire shall deuoure them, and ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.

GenevaAnd I will set my face against them: they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall consume them: and ye shall know, that I am the Lord, when I set my face against them,

וְ/נָתַתִּ֤י אֶת פָּנַ/י֙ בָּ/הֶ֔ם מֵ/הָ/אֵ֣שׁ יָצָ֔אוּ וְ/הָ/אֵ֖שׁ תֹּֽאכְלֵ֑/ם וִֽ/ידַעְתֶּם֙ כִּֽי אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֔ה בְּ/שׂוּמִ֥/י אֶת פָּנַ֖/י בָּ/הֶֽם

And I will make the land desolate, because they haue committed a trespasse, saith the Lord GOD.

GenevaAnd when I make the lande waste, because they haue greatly offended, saith the Lord God.

וְ/נָתַתִּ֥י אֶת הָ/אָ֖רֶץ שְׁמָמָ֑ה יַ֚עַן מָ֣עֲלוּ מַ֔עַל נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥/י יְהוִֽה
