And it shall come to passe, if thou shalt hearken diligently vnto the voyce of the LORD thy God, to obserue and to doe all his Commandements which I command thee this day; that the LORD thy God will set thee on high aboue all nations of the earth.
GenevaIf thou shalt obey diligently the voyce of the Lord thy God, and obserue and do all his commandements, which I commande thee this day, then the Lord thy God wil set thee on high aboue all the nations of the earth.
וְ/הָיָ֗ה אִם שָׁמ֤וֹעַ תִּשְׁמַע֙ בְּ/קוֹל֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔י/ךָ לִ/שְׁמֹ֤ר לַ/עֲשׂוֹת֙ אֶת כָּל מִצְוֺתָ֔י/ו אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י מְצַוְּ/ךָ֖ הַ/יּ֑וֹם וּ/נְתָ֨נְ/ךָ֜ יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֨י/ךָ֙ עֶלְי֔וֹן עַ֖ל כָּל גּוֹיֵ֥י הָ/אָֽרֶץ
And all these blessings shall come on thee, and ouertake thee, if thou shalt hearken vnto the voice of the LORD thy God.

The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise vp against thee, to bee smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seuen wayes.

The LORD shall command the blessing vpon thee in thy store-houses, and in all that thou settest thine hand vnto, and he shall blesse thee in the land which the LORD thy God giueth thee.
GenevaThe Lord shall command the blessing to be with thee in thy store houses, and in all that thou settest thine hande to, and wil blesse thee in the land which the Lord thy God giueth thee.
יְצַ֨ו יְהוָ֤ה אִתְּ/ךָ֙ אֶת הַ/בְּרָכָ֔ה בַּ/אֲסָמֶ֕י/ךָ וּ/בְ/כֹ֖ל מִשְׁלַ֣ח יָדֶ֑/ךָ וּ/בֵ֣רַכְ/ךָ֔ בָּ/אָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖י/ךָ נֹתֵ֥ן לָֽ/ךְ
The LORD shall establish thee an holy people vnto himselfe, as hee hath sworne vnto thee, if thou shalt keepe the Commaundements of the LORD thy God, and walke in his wayes.

And all people of the earth shall see, that thou art called by the Name of the LORD, and they shall bee afraid of thee.
GenevaThen all people of the earth shall see that the Name of the Lord is called vpon ouer thee, and they shalbe afrayde of thee.
וְ/רָאוּ֙ כָּל עַמֵּ֣י הָ/אָ֔רֶץ כִּ֛י שֵׁ֥ם יְהוָ֖ה נִקְרָ֣א עָלֶ֑י/ךָ וְ/יָֽרְא֖וּ מִמֶּֽ/ךָּ
And the LORD shal make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattell, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware vnto thy fathers to giue thee.

The LORD shal open vnto thee his good treasure, the heauen to giue the raine vnto thy land in his season, and to blesse all the worke of thine hand: and thou shalt lend vnto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
GenevaThe Lord shall open vnto thee his good treasure, euen the heauen to giue rayne vnto thy kind in due season, and to blesse all the worke of thine handes: and thou shalt lende vnto many nations, but shalt not borow thy selfe.
יִפְתַּ֣ח יְהוָ֣ה לְ֠/ךָ אֶת אוֹצָר֨/וֹ הַ/טּ֜וֹב אֶת הַ/שָּׁמַ֗יִם לָ/תֵ֤ת מְטַֽר אַרְצְ/ךָ֙ בְּ/עִתּ֔/וֹ וּ/לְ/בָרֵ֕ךְ אֵ֖ת כָּל מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יָדֶ֑/ךָ וְ/הִלְוִ֨יתָ֙ גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֔ים וְ/אַתָּ֖ה לֹ֥א תִלְוֶֽה
And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the taile, and thou shalt be aboue onely, and thou shalt not be beneath: if that thou hearken vnto the Commandements of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to obserue, and to doe them:
GenevaAnd the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tayle, and thou shalt be aboue onely, and shalt not bee beneath, if thou obey the commandements of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to keepe and to do them.
וּ/נְתָֽנְ/ךָ֨ יְהוָ֤ה לְ/רֹאשׁ֙ וְ/לֹ֣א לְ/זָנָ֔ב וְ/הָיִ֨יתָ֙ רַ֣ק לְ/מַ֔עְלָ/ה וְ/לֹ֥א תִהְיֶ֖ה לְ/מָ֑טָּה כִּֽי תִשְׁמַ֞ע אֶל מִצְוֺ֣ת יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֗י/ךָ אֲשֶׁ֨ר אָנֹכִ֧י מְצַוְּ/ךָ֛ הַ/יּ֖וֹם לִ/שְׁמֹ֥ר וְ/לַ/עֲשֽׂוֹת
And thou shalt not go aside from any of the wordes which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to goe after other gods, to serue them.

וְ/לֹ֣א תָס֗וּר מִ/כָּל הַ/דְּבָרִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר אָנֹכִ֜י מְצַוֶּ֥ה אֶתְ/כֶ֛ם הַ/יּ֖וֹם יָמִ֣ין וּ/שְׂמֹ֑אול לָ/לֶ֗כֶת אַחֲרֵ֛י אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִ֖ים לְ/עָבְדָֽ/ם
¶ But it shal come to passe, if thou wilt not hearken vnto the voyce of the LORD thy God, to obserue to doe all his Commandements and his Statutes, which I command thee this day, that all these curses shall come vpon thee, and ouertake thee.
GenevaBut if thou wilt not obey the voyce of the Lord thy God, to keepe and to do all his commandementes and his ordinances, which I command thee this day, then al these curses shall come vpon thee, and ouertake thee.
וְ/הָיָ֗ה אִם לֹ֤א תִשְׁמַע֙ בְּ/קוֹל֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔י/ךָ לִ/שְׁמֹ֤ר לַ/עֲשׂוֹת֙ אֶת כָּל מִצְוֺתָ֣י/ו וְ/חֻקֹּתָ֔י/ו אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י מְצַוְּ/ךָ֖ הַ/יּ֑וֹם וּ/בָ֧אוּ עָלֶ֛י/ךָ כָּל הַ/קְּלָל֥וֹת הָ/אֵ֖לֶּה וְ/הִשִּׂיגֽוּ/ךָ
Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

The LORD shall send vpon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand vnto, for to doe, vntill thou be destroyed, and vntill thou perish quickely, because of the wickednesse of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.

יְשַׁלַּ֣ח יְהוָ֣ה בְּ֠/ךָ אֶת הַ/מְּאֵרָ֤ה אֶת הַ/מְּהוּמָה֙ וְ/אֶת הַ/מִּגְעֶ֔רֶת בְּ/כָל מִשְׁלַ֥ח יָדְ/ךָ֖ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּעֲשֶׂ֑ה עַ֣ד הִשָּֽׁמֶדְ/ךָ֤ וְ/עַד אֲבָדְ/ךָ֙ מַהֵ֔ר מִ/פְּנֵ֛י רֹ֥עַ מַֽעֲלָלֶ֖י/ךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עֲזַבְתָּֽ/נִי
The LORD shall make the pestilence cleaue vnto thee, vntill he haue consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possesse it.

The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a feuer, and with an inflammation, & with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildewe: and they shall pursue thee vntill thou perish.

יַכְּ/כָ֣ה יְ֠הוָה בַּ/שַּׁחֶ֨פֶת וּ/בַ/קַּדַּ֜חַת וּ/בַ/דַּלֶּ֗קֶת וּ/בַֽ/חַרְחֻר֙ וּ/בַ/חֶ֔רֶב וּ/בַ/שִּׁדָּפ֖וֹן וּ/בַ/יֵּרָק֑וֹן וּ/רְדָפ֖וּ/ךָ עַ֥ד אָבְדֶֽ/ךָ
And the heauen that is ouer thy head shall be brasse, and the earth that is vnder thee shall be yron.

וְ/הָי֥וּ שָׁמֶ֛י/ךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל רֹאשְׁ/ךָ֖ נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וְ/הָ/אָ֥רֶץ אֲשֶׁר תַּחְתֶּ֖י/ךָ בַּרְזֶֽל
The LORD shall make the raine of thy land powder & dust: from heauen shall it come downe vpon thee, vntill thou be destroyed.
GenevaThe Lord shall giue thee for the rayne of thy land, dust and ashes: euen from heauen shall it come downe vpon thee, vntil thou be destroyed.
יִתֵּ֧ן יְהוָ֛ה אֶת מְטַ֥ר אַרְצְ/ךָ֖ אָבָ֣ק וְ/עָפָ֑ר מִן הַ/שָּׁמַ֨יִם֙ יֵרֵ֣ד עָלֶ֔י/ךָ עַ֖ד הִשָּׁמְדָֽ/ךְ
The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seuen wayes before them, and shalt be remoued into all the kingdomes of the earth.
GenevaAnd the Lord shall cause thee to fall before thine enemies: thou shalt come out one way against them, and shalt flee seuen wayes before them, and shalt be scattered through all the kingdomes of the earth.
יִתֶּנְ/ךָ֨ יְהוָ֥ה נִגָּף֮ לִ/פְנֵ֣י אֹיְבֶי/ךָ֒ בְּ/דֶ֤רֶךְ אֶחָד֙ תֵּצֵ֣א אֵלָ֔י/ו וּ/בְ/שִׁבְעָ֥ה דְרָכִ֖ים תָּנ֣וּס לְ/פָנָ֑י/ו וְ/הָיִ֣יתָ לְ/זַעֲוָ֔ה לְ/כֹ֖ל מַמְלְכ֥וֹת הָ/אָֽרֶץ
And thy carkeise shalbe meat vnto all foules of the aire, and vnto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.

וְ/הָיְתָ֤ה נִבְלָֽתְ/ךָ֙ לְ/מַאֲכָ֔ל לְ/כָל ע֥וֹף הַ/שָּׁמַ֖יִם וּ/לְ/בֶהֱמַ֣ת הָ/אָ֑רֶץ וְ/אֵ֖ין מַחֲרִֽיד
The LORD wil smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scabbe, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not bee healed.

The LORD shall smite thee with madnesse, and blindnesse, and astonishment of heart.

יַכְּ/כָ֣ה יְהוָ֔ה בְּ/שִׁגָּע֖וֹן וּ/בְ/עִוָּר֑וֹן וּ/בְ/תִמְה֖וֹן לֵבָֽב
And thou shalt grope at noone dayes, as the blind gropeth in darknes, and thou shalt not prosper in thy waies: and thou shalt be onely oppressed, and spoiled euermore, and no man shal saue thee.

וְ/הָיִ֜יתָ מְמַשֵּׁ֣שׁ בַּֽ/צָּהֳרַ֗יִם כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֨ר יְמַשֵּׁ֤שׁ הָ/עִוֵּר֙ בָּ/אֲפֵלָ֔ה וְ/לֹ֥א תַצְלִ֖יחַ אֶת דְּרָכֶ֑י/ךָ וְ/הָיִ֜יתָ אַ֣ךְ עָשׁ֧וּק וְ/גָז֛וּל כָּל הַ/יָּמִ֖ים וְ/אֵ֥ין מוֹשִֽׁיעַ
Thou shalt betrothe a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.

אִשָּׁ֣ה תְאָרֵ֗שׂ וְ/אִ֤ישׁ אַחֵר֙ ישגל/נה בַּ֥יִת תִּבְנֶ֖ה וְ/לֹא תֵשֵׁ֣ב בּ֑/וֹ כֶּ֥רֶם תִּטַּ֖ע וְ/לֹ֥א תְחַלְּלֶּֽ/נּוּ
Thine oxe shall be slaine before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine asse shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shal not be restored to thee: thy sheepe shall bee giuen vnto thine enemies, and thou shalt haue none to rescue them.

שׁוֹרְ/ךָ֞ טָב֣וּחַ לְ/עֵינֶ֗י/ךָ וְ/לֹ֣א תֹאכַל֮ מִמֶּ/נּוּ֒ חֲמֹֽרְ/ךָ֙ גָּז֣וּל מִ/לְּ/פָנֶ֔י/ךָ וְ/לֹ֥א יָשׁ֖וּב לָ֑/ךְ צֹֽאנְ/ךָ֙ נְתֻנ֣וֹת לְ/אֹיְבֶ֔י/ךָ וְ/אֵ֥ין לְ/ךָ֖ מוֹשִֽׁיעַ
Thy sonnes, and thy daughters shall be giuen vnto another people, and thine eyes shal looke, and faile with longing for them al the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand.

בָּנֶ֨י/ךָ וּ/בְנֹתֶ֜י/ךָ נְתֻנִ֨ים לְ/עַ֤ם אַחֵר֙ וְ/עֵינֶ֣י/ךָ רֹא֔וֹת וְ/כָל֥וֹת אֲלֵי/הֶ֖ם כָּל הַ/יּ֑וֹם וְ/אֵ֥ין לְ/אֵ֖ל יָדֶֽ/ךָ
The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not, eate vp: and thou shalt be onely oppressed and crushed alway:
GenevaThe fruite of thy land and all thy labours shall a people, which thou knowest not, eate, and thou shalt neuer but suffer wrong, and violence alway:
פְּרִ֤י אַדְמָֽתְ/ךָ֙ וְ/כָל יְגִ֣יעֲ/ךָ֔ יֹאכַ֥ל עַ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא יָדָ֑עְתָּ וְ/הָיִ֗יתָ רַ֛ק עָשׁ֥וּק וְ/רָצ֖וּץ כָּל הַ/יָּמִֽים
So that thou shalt bee mad, for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
GenevaSo that thou shalt be madde for the sight which thine eyes shall see.
וְ/הָיִ֖יתָ מְשֻׁגָּ֑ע מִ/מַּרְאֵ֥ה עֵינֶ֖י/ךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר תִּרְאֶֽה
The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legges with a sore botch that cannot bee healed, from the sole of thy foot, vnto the top of thy head.
GenevaThe Lord shall smite thee in the knees, and in the thighes, with a sore botche, that thou canst not be healed: euen from the sole of thy foote vnto the top of thine head.
יַכְּ/כָ֨ה יְהוָ֜ה בִּ/שְׁחִ֣ין רָ֗ע עַל הַ/בִּרְכַּ֨יִם֙ וְ/עַל הַ/שֹּׁקַ֔יִם אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא תוּכַ֖ל לְ/הֵרָפֵ֑א מִ/כַּ֥ף רַגְלְ/ךָ֖ וְ/עַ֥ד קָדְקֳדֶֽ/ךָ
The LORD shal bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set ouer thee, vnto a nation which neither thou, nor thy fathers haue knowen, and there shalt thou serue other gods, wood and stone.

יוֹלֵ֨ךְ יְהוָ֜ה אֹֽתְ/ךָ֗ וְ/אֶֽת מַלְכְּ/ךָ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תָּקִ֣ים עָלֶ֔י/ךָ אֶל גּ֕וֹי אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא יָדַ֖עְתָּ אַתָּ֣ה וַ/אֲבֹתֶ֑י/ךָ וְ/עָבַ֥דְתָּ שָּׁ֛ם אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִ֖ים עֵ֥ץ וָ/אָֽבֶן
And thou shalt become an astonishment, a prouerbe, and a by-worde, among all nations whither the LORD shall leade thee.
GenevaAnd thou shalt be a wonder, a prouerbe and a common talke among all people, whither the Lord shall carie thee.
וְ/הָיִ֣יתָ לְ/שַׁמָּ֔ה לְ/מָשָׁ֖ל וְ/לִ/שְׁנִינָ֑ה בְּ/כֹל֙ הָֽ/עַמִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁר יְנַהֶגְ/ךָ֥ יְהוָ֖ה שָֽׁמָּ/ה
Thou shalt carie much seede out into the field, and shalt gather but litle in: for the locust shall consume it.

Thou shalt plant vineyards and dresse them, but shalt neither drinke of the wine, nor gather the grapes: for the wormes shall eate them.

כְּרָמִ֥ים תִּטַּ֖ע וְ/עָבָ֑דְתָּ וְ/יַ֤יִן לֹֽא תִשְׁתֶּה֙ וְ/לֹ֣א תֶאֱגֹ֔ר כִּ֥י תֹאכְלֶ֖/נּוּ הַ/תֹּלָֽעַת
Thou shalt haue Oliue trees throughout al thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thy selfe with the oyle: for thine Oliue shall cast his fruit.

זֵיתִ֛ים יִהְי֥וּ לְ/ךָ֖ בְּ/כָל גְּבוּלֶ֑/ךָ וְ/שֶׁ֨מֶן֙ לֹ֣א תָס֔וּךְ כִּ֥י יִשַּׁ֖ל זֵיתֶֽ/ךָ
Thou shalt beget sonnes and daughters, but thou shalt not enioy them: for they shall goe into captiuitie.

All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locusts consume.

The stranger that is within thee shall get vp aboue thee very high: and thou shalt come downe very low.
GenevaThe straunger that is among you, shall clime aboue thee vp on hie, and thou shalt come downe beneath alow.
הַ/גֵּר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּ/קִרְבְּ/ךָ֔ יַעֲלֶ֥ה עָלֶ֖י/ךָ מַ֣עְלָ/ה מָּ֑עְלָ/ה וְ/אַתָּ֥ה תֵרֵ֖ד מַ֥טָּה מָּֽטָּה
He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall bee the head, and thou shalt be the taile.

ה֣וּא יַלְוְ/ךָ֔ וְ/אַתָּ֖ה לֹ֣א תַלְוֶ֑/נּוּ ה֚וּא יִהְיֶ֣ה לְ/רֹ֔אשׁ וְ/אַתָּ֖ה תִּֽהְיֶ֥ה לְ/זָנָֽב
Moreouer, all these curses shall come vpon thee, and shall pursue thee, and ouertake thee, til thou be destroied: because thou hearkenedst not vnto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keepe his Commandements, and his Statutes which he commanded thee.

And they shall be vpon thee for a signe, and for a wonder, and vpon thy seed for euer:

וְ/הָי֣וּ בְ/ךָ֔ לְ/א֖וֹת וּ/לְ/מוֹפֵ֑ת וּֽ/בְ/זַרְעֲ/ךָ֖ עַד עוֹלָֽם
Because thou seruedst not the LORD thy God with ioyfulnesse, and with gladnesse of heart, for the aboundance of all things.

Therefore shalt thou serue thine enemies, which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakednesse, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron vpon thy necke, vntill he haue destroyed thee.

וְ/עָבַדְתָּ֣ אֶת אֹיְבֶ֗י/ךָ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יְשַׁלְּחֶ֤/נּוּ יְהוָה֙ בָּ֔/ךְ בְּ/רָעָ֧ב וּ/בְ/צָמָ֛א וּ/בְ/עֵירֹ֖ם וּ/בְ/חֹ֣סֶר כֹּ֑ל וְ/נָתַ֞ן עֹ֤ל בַּרְזֶל֙ עַל צַוָּארֶ֔/ךָ עַ֥ד הִשְׁמִיד֖/וֹ אֹתָֽ/ךְ
The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from farre, from the end of the earth, as swift as the Eagle fleeth, a nation whose tongue thou shalt not vnderstand:

יִשָּׂ֣א יְהוָה֩ עָלֶ֨י/ךָ גּ֤וֹי מֵ/רָחוֹק֙ מִ/קְצֵ֣ה הָ/אָ֔רֶץ כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִדְאֶ֖ה הַ/נָּ֑שֶׁר גּ֕וֹי אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא תִשְׁמַ֖ע לְשֹׁנֽ/וֹ
A nation of fierce countenance, which shal not regard the person of the old, nor shew fauour to the yong:
GenevaA nation of a fierce countenance, which will not regarde the person of the olde, nor haue compassion of the yong.
גּ֖וֹי עַ֣ז פָּנִ֑ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹא יִשָּׂ֤א פָנִים֙ לְ/זָקֵ֔ן וְ/נַ֖עַר לֹ֥א יָחֹֽן
And hee shall eat the fruit of thy cattell, and the fruit of thy land, vntill thou be destroyed: which also shall not leaue thee either corne, wine, or oyle, or the increase of thy kine, or flockes of thy sheepe, vntill he haue destroyed thee.

וְ֠/אָכַל פְּרִ֨י בְהֶמְתְּ/ךָ֥ וּ/פְרִֽי אַדְמָתְ/ךָ֮ עַ֣ד הִשָּֽׁמְדָ/ךְ֒ אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹֽא יַשְׁאִ֜יר לְ/ךָ֗ דָּגָן֙ תִּיר֣וֹשׁ וְ/יִצְהָ֔ר שְׁגַ֥ר אֲלָפֶ֖י/ךָ וְ/עַשְׁתְּרֹ֣ת צֹאנֶ֑/ךָ עַ֥ד הַאֲבִיד֖/וֹ אֹתָֽ/ךְ
And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, vntill thy high and fenced walles come downe wherein thou trustedst throughout all thy land: and hee shall besiege thee in all thy gates, throughout all thy land which the LORD thy God hath giuen thee.

וְ/הֵצַ֨ר לְ/ךָ֜ בְּ/כָל שְׁעָרֶ֗י/ךָ עַ֣ד רֶ֤דֶת חֹמֹתֶ֨י/ךָ֙ הַ/גְּבֹה֣וֹת וְ/הַ/בְּצֻר֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתָּ֛ה בֹּטֵ֥חַ בָּ/הֵ֖ן בְּ/כָל אַרְצֶ֑/ךָ וְ/הֵצַ֤ר לְ/ךָ֙ בְּ/כָל שְׁעָרֶ֔י/ךָ בְּ/כָ֨ל אַרְצְ/ךָ֔ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֛ן יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖י/ךָ לָֽ/ךְ
And thou shalt eate the fruit of thine owne body, the flesh of thy sonnes, and of thy daughters (which the LORD thy God hath giuen thee) in the siege, and in the straitnesse wherewith thine enemies shall distresse thee.

וְ/אָכַלְתָּ֣ פְרִֽי בִטְנְ/ךָ֗ בְּשַׂ֤ר בָּנֶ֨י/ךָ֙ וּ/בְנֹתֶ֔י/ךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָֽתַן לְ/ךָ֖ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֑י/ךָ בְּ/מָצוֹר֙ וּ/בְ/מָצ֔וֹק אֲשֶׁר יָצִ֥יק לְ/ךָ֖ אֹיְבֶֽ/ךָ
So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shalbe euill toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosome, and towards the remnant of his children which he shall leaue:
GenevaSo that the man (that is tender and exceeding deintie among you) shalbe grieued at his brother, and at his wife, that lieth in his bosome, and at the remnant of his children, which hee hath yet left,
הָ/אִישׁ֙ הָ/רַ֣ךְ בְּ/ךָ֔ וְ/הֶ/עָנֹ֖ג מְאֹ֑ד תֵּרַ֨ע עֵינ֤/וֹ בְ/אָחִי/ו֙ וּ/בְ/אֵ֣שֶׁת חֵיק֔/וֹ וּ/בְ/יֶ֥תֶר בָּנָ֖י/ו אֲשֶׁ֥ר יוֹתִֽיר
So that he wil not giue to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eate: because hee hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitnesse wherewith thine enemies shal distresse thee, in all thy gates.

מִ/תֵּ֣ת לְ/אַחַ֣ד מֵ/הֶ֗ם מִ/בְּשַׂ֤ר בָּנָי/ו֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֹאכֵ֔ל מִ/בְּלִ֥י הִשְׁאִֽיר ל֖/וֹ כֹּ֑ל בְּ/מָצוֹר֙ וּ/בְ/מָצ֔וֹק אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָצִ֥יק לְ/ךָ֛ אֹיִבְ/ךָ֖ בְּ/כָל שְׁעָרֶֽי/ךָ
The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not aduenture to set the sole of her foote vpon the ground, for delicatenesse and tendernesse, her eye shall be euill towards the husband of her bosome, and towards her sonne, and towards her daughter,

הָ/רַכָּ֨ה בְ/ךָ֜ וְ/הָ/עֲנֻגָּ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹא נִסְּתָ֤ה כַף רַגְלָ/הּ֙ הַצֵּ֣ג עַל הָ/אָ֔רֶץ מֵ/הִתְעַנֵּ֖ג וּ/מֵ/רֹ֑ךְ תֵּרַ֤ע עֵינָ/הּ֙ בְּ/אִ֣ישׁ חֵיקָ֔/הּ וּ/בִ/בְנָ֖/הּ וּ/בְ/בִתָּֽ/הּ
And towards her yong one that commeth out from betweene her feete, and towards her children which shee shall beare: for shee shall eate them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitnes, wherewith thine enemie shall distresse thee in thy gates.
GenevaAnd at her afterbirth (that shall come out from betweene her feete) and at her childre, which she shall beare: for when all things lacke, she shall eate them secretly, during the siege and straitnesse, wherewith thine enemie shall besiege thee in thy cities.
וּֽ/בְ/שִׁלְיָתָ֞/הּ הַ/יּוֹצֵ֣ת מִ/בֵּ֣ין רַגְלֶ֗י/הָ וּ/בְ/בָנֶ֨י/הָ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תֵּלֵ֔ד כִּֽי תֹאכְלֵ֥/ם בְּ/חֹֽסֶר כֹּ֖ל בַּ/סָּ֑תֶר בְּ/מָצוֹר֙ וּ/בְ/מָצ֔וֹק אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָצִ֥יק לְ/ךָ֛ אֹיִבְ/ךָ֖ בִּ/שְׁעָרֶֽי/ךָ
If thou wilt not obserue to doe all the wordes of this Law that are written in this booke, that thou mayest feare this glorious and fearefull Name, The LORD thy GOD:

אִם לֹ֨א תִשְׁמֹ֜ר לַ/עֲשׂ֗וֹת אֶת כָּל דִּבְרֵי֙ הַ/תּוֹרָ֣ה הַ/זֹּ֔את הַ/כְּתוּבִ֖ים בַּ/סֵּ֣פֶר הַ/זֶּ֑ה לְ֠/יִרְאָה אֶת הַ/שֵּׁ֞ם הַ/נִּכְבָּ֤ד וְ/הַ/נּוֹרָא֙ הַ/זֶּ֔ה אֵ֖ת יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽי/ךָ
Then the LORD wil make thy plagues wonderfull, and the plagues of thy seed, euen great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.

וְ/הִפְלָ֤א יְהוָה֙ אֶת מַכֹּ֣תְ/ךָ֔ וְ/אֵ֖ת מַכּ֣וֹת זַרְעֶ֑/ךָ מַכּ֤וֹת גְּדֹלוֹת֙ וְ/נֶ֣אֱמָנ֔וֹת וָ/חֳלָיִ֥ם רָעִ֖ים וְ/נֶאֱמָנִֽים
Moreouer, hee will bring vpon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of, and they shal cleaue vnto thee.

Also euery sickenesse, and euery plague which is not written in the booke of this Law, them will the LORD bring vpon thee, vntill thou be destroyed.

גַּ֤ם כָּל חֳלִי֙ וְ/כָל מַכָּ֔ה אֲשֶׁר֙ לֹ֣א כָת֔וּב בְּ/סֵ֖פֶר הַ/תּוֹרָ֣ה הַ/זֹּ֑את יַעְלֵ֤/ם יְהוָה֙ עָלֶ֔י/ךָ עַ֖ד הִשָּׁמְדָֽ/ךְ
And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the starres of heauen for multitude: because thou wouldest not obey the voyce of the LORD thy God.

וְ/נִשְׁאַרְתֶּם֙ בִּ/מְתֵ֣י מְעָ֔ט תַּ֚חַת אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֱיִיתֶ֔ם כְּ/כוֹכְבֵ֥י הַ/שָּׁמַ֖יִם לָ/רֹ֑ב כִּי לֹ֣א שָׁמַ֔עְתָּ בְּ/ק֖וֹל יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽי/ךָ
And it shall come to passe, that as the LORD reioyced ouer you to doe you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will reioyce ouer you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shalbe plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possesse it.

וְ֠/הָיָה כַּ/אֲשֶׁר שָׂ֨שׂ יְהוָ֜ה עֲלֵי/כֶ֗ם לְ/הֵיטִ֣יב אֶתְ/כֶם֮ וּ/לְ/הַרְבּ֣וֹת אֶתְ/כֶם֒ כֵּ֣ן יָשִׂ֤ישׂ יְהוָה֙ עֲלֵי/כֶ֔ם לְ/הַאֲבִ֥יד אֶתְ/כֶ֖ם וּ/לְ/הַשְׁמִ֣יד אֶתְ/כֶ֑ם וְ/נִסַּחְתֶּם֙ מֵ/עַ֣ל הָֽ/אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר אַתָּ֥ה בָא שָׁ֖מָּ/ה לְ/רִשְׁתָּֽ/הּ
And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth, euen vnto the other: and there thou shalt serue other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers haue knowen, euen wood and stone.

וֶ/הֱפִֽיצְ/ךָ֤ יְהוָה֙ בְּ/כָל הָ֣/עַמִּ֔ים מִ/קְצֵ֥ה הָ/אָ֖רֶץ וְ/עַד קְצֵ֣ה הָ/אָ֑רֶץ וְ/עָבַ֨דְתָּ שָּׁ֜ם אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֧ר לֹא יָדַ֛עְתָּ אַתָּ֥ה וַ/אֲבֹתֶ֖י/ךָ עֵ֥ץ וָ/אָֽבֶן
And among these nations shalt thou finde no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foote haue rest: but the LORD shall giue thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, & sorrow of minde.
GenevaAlso among these nations thou shalt finde no rest, neither shall the sole of thy foote haue rest: for the Lord shall giue thee there a trembling heart, and looking to returne till thine eyes fall out, and a sorowfull minde.
וּ/בַ/גּוֹיִ֤ם הָ/הֵם֙ לֹ֣א תַרְגִּ֔יעַ וְ/לֹא יִהְיֶ֥ה מָנ֖וֹחַ לְ/כַף רַגְלֶ֑/ךָ וְ/נָתַן֩ יְהוָ֨ה לְ/ךָ֥ שָׁם֙ לֵ֣ב רַגָּ֔ז וְ/כִלְי֥וֹן עֵינַ֖יִם וְ/דַֽאֲב֥וֹן נָֽפֶשׁ
And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee, and thou shalt feare day and night, and shalt haue none assurance of thy life.

In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were Euen: and at Euen thou shalt say, Would God it were morning, for the feare of thine heart wherewith thou shalt feare, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt againe, with ships, by the way whereof I spake vnto thee, Thou shalt see it no more againe: and there ye shall bee sold vnto your enemies for bondmen, and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
