A Prayer of David.
Bow downe thine eare, O LORD, heare me: for I am poore & needy.

תְּפִלָּ֗ה לְ/דָ֫וִ֥ד הַטֵּֽה יְהוָ֣ה אָזְנְ/ךָ֣ עֲנֵ֑/נִי כִּֽי עָנִ֖י וְ/אֶבְי֣וֹן אָֽנִי
Preserue my soule, for I am holy: O thou my God, saue thy seruant, that trusteth in thee.
GenevaPreserue thou my soule, for I am mercifull: my God, saue thou thy seruant, that trusteth in thee.
שָֽׁמְרָ֣/ה נַפְשִׁ/י֮ כִּֽי חָסִ֪יד אָ֥נִי הוֹשַׁ֣ע עַ֭בְדְּ/ךָ אַתָּ֣ה אֱלֹהַ֑/י הַ/בּוֹטֵ֥חַ אֵלֶֽי/ךָ
Be merciful vnto me, O Lord: for I cry vnto thee daily.
GenevaBe mercifull vnto me, O Lord: for I crie vpon thee continually.
חָנֵּ֥/נִי אֲדֹנָ֑/י כִּ֥י אֵלֶ֥י/ךָ אֶ֝קְרָ֗א כָּל הַ/יּֽוֹם
Reioyce the soule of thy seruant: for vnto thee (O Lord) doe I lift vp my soule.

שַׂ֭מֵּחַ נֶ֣פֶשׁ עַבְדֶּ֑/ךָ כִּ֥י אֵלֶ֥י/ךָ אֲ֝דֹנָ֗/י נַפְשִׁ֥/י אֶשָּֽׂא
For thou Lord art good, and ready to forgiue: and plenteous in mercie vnto all them that call vpon thee.
GenevaFor thou, Lord, art good and mercifull, and of great kindenes vnto all them, that call vpon thee.
כִּֽי אַתָּ֣ה אֲ֭דֹנָ/י ט֣וֹב וְ/סַלָּ֑ח וְ/רַב חֶ֝֗סֶד לְ/כָל קֹרְאֶֽי/ךָ
Giue eare O LORD, vnto my prayer: and attend to the voice of my supplications.

הַאֲזִ֣ינָ/ה יְ֭הוָה תְּפִלָּתִ֑/י וְ֝/הַקְשִׁ֗יבָ/ה בְּ/ק֣וֹל תַּחֲנוּנוֹתָֽ/י
In the day of my trouble I will call vpon thee: for thou wilt answere mee.

בְּ/י֣וֹם צָ֭רָתִ֥/י אֶקְרָאֶ֗/ךָּ כִּ֣י תַעֲנֵֽ/נִי
Among the gods there is none like vnto thee (O Lord:) neither are there any workes like vnto thy workes.
GenevaAmong the gods there is none like thee, O Lord, and there is none that can doe like thy workes.
אֵין כָּמ֖וֹ/ךָ בָ/אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲדֹנָ֗/י וְ/אֵ֣ין כְּֽ/מַעֲשֶֽׂי/ךָ
All nations whom thou hast made, shall come and worship before thee, O Lord: and shall glorifie thy Name.

כָּל גּוֹיִ֤ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִׂ֗יתָ יָב֤וֹאוּ וְ/יִשְׁתַּחֲו֣וּ לְ/פָנֶ֣י/ךָ אֲדֹנָ֑/י וִֽ/יכַבְּד֣וּ לִ/שְׁמֶֽ/ךָ
For thou art great, and doest wonderous things: thou art God alone.

כִּֽי גָד֣וֹל אַ֭תָּה וְ/עֹשֵׂ֣ה נִפְלָא֑וֹת אַתָּ֖ה אֱלֹהִ֣ים לְ/בַדֶּֽ/ךָ
Teach me thy way, O LORD, I will walke in thy trueth: vnite my heart to feare thy Name.

ה֘וֹרֵ֤/נִי יְהוָ֨ה דַּרְכֶּ֗/ךָ אֲהַלֵּ֥ךְ בַּ/אֲמִתֶּ֑/ךָ יַחֵ֥ד לְ֝בָבִ֗/י לְ/יִרְאָ֥ה שְׁמֶֽ/ךָ
I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I wil glorifie thy Name for euermore.
GenevaI wil prayse thee, O Lord my God, with all mine heart: yea, I wil glorifie thy Name for euer.
אוֹדְ/ךָ֤ אֲדֹנָ֣/י אֱ֭לֹהַ/י בְּ/כָל לְבָבִ֑/י וַ/אֲכַבְּדָ֖ה שִׁמְ/ךָ֣ לְ/עוֹלָֽם
For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast deliuered my soule from the lowest hell.
GenevaFor great is thy mercie toward me, and thou hast deliuered my soule from the lowest graue.
כִּֽי חַ֭סְדְּ/ךָ גָּד֣וֹל עָלָ֑/י וְ/הִצַּ֥לְתָּ נַ֝פְשִׁ֗/י מִ/שְּׁא֥וֹל תַּחְתִּיָּֽה
O God, the proud are risen against mee, and the assemblies of violent men haue sought after my soule: and haue not set thee before them.

אֱלֹהִ֤ים זֵ֘דִ֤ים קָֽמוּ עָלַ֗/י וַ/עֲדַ֣ת עָ֭רִיצִים בִּקְשׁ֣וּ נַפְשִׁ֑/י וְ/לֹ֖א שָׂמ֣וּ/ךָ לְ/נֶגְדָּֽ/ם
But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious: long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and trueth.
GenevaBut thou, O Lord, art a pitifull God and mercifull, slowe to anger and great in kindenes and trueth.
וְ/אַתָּ֣ה אֲ֭דֹנָ/י אֵל רַח֣וּם וְ/חַנּ֑וּן אֶ֥רֶךְ אַ֝פַּ֗יִם וְ/רַב חֶ֥סֶד וֶ/אֱמֶֽת
O turne vnto me, and haue mercie vpon me, giue thy strength vnto thy seruant: and saue the sonne of thine handmaid.

פְּנֵ֥ה אֵלַ֗/י וְ/חָ֫נֵּ֥/נִי תְּנָֽ/ה עֻזְּ/ךָ֥ לְ/עַבְדֶּ֑/ךָ וְ֝/הוֹשִׁ֗יעָ/ה לְ/בֶן אֲמָתֶֽ/ךָ
Shew me a token for good, that they which hate me may see it, and bee ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
GenevaShew a token of thy goodnes towarde me, that they which hate me, may see it, and be ashamed, because thou, O Lord, hast holpen me and comforted me.
עֲשֵֽׂה עִמִּ֥/י א֗וֹת לְ/ט֫וֹבָ֥ה וְ/יִרְא֣וּ שֹׂנְאַ֣/י וְ/יֵבֹ֑שׁוּ כִּֽי אַתָּ֥ה יְ֝הוָ֗ה עֲזַרְתַּ֥/נִי וְ/נִחַמְתָּֽ/נִי
