O LORD, my God, in thee doe I put my trust: saue me from all them that persecute me, and deliuer me.

שִׁגָּי֗וֹן לְ/דָ֫וִ֥ד אֲשֶׁר שָׁ֥ר לַ/יהוָ֑ה עַל דִּבְרֵי כ֝֗וּשׁ בֶּן יְמִינִֽי
Least hee teare my soule like a lyon, renting it in pieces, while there is none to deliuer.
GenevaLeast he deuoure my soule like a lion, and teare it in pieces, while there is none to helpe.
יְהוָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהַ/י בְּ/ךָ֣ חָסִ֑יתִי הוֹשִׁיעֵ֥/נִי מִ/כָּל רֹ֝דְפַ֗/י וְ/הַצִּילֵֽ/נִי
O LORD my God, if I haue done this; if there be iniquitie in my hands:

פֶּן יִטְרֹ֣ף כְּ/אַרְיֵ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֑/י פֹּ֝רֵ֗ק וְ/אֵ֣ין מַצִּֽיל
If I haue rewarded euill vnto him that was at peace with me: (yea I haue deliuered him that without cause is mine enemie.)

יְהוָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהַ/י אִם עָשִׂ֣יתִי זֹ֑את אִֽם יֶשׁ עָ֥וֶל בְּ/כַפָּֽ/י
Let the enemie persecute my soule, and take it, yea let him tread downe my life vpon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.

אִם גָּ֭מַלְתִּי שֽׁוֹלְמִ֥/י רָ֑ע וָ/אֲחַלְּצָ֖/ה צוֹרְרִ֣/י רֵיקָֽם
Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift vp thy selfe, because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the iudgement that thou hast commanded.

So shall the congregation of the people compasse thee about: for their sakes therefore returne thou on high.

ק֘וּמָ֤/ה יְהוָ֨ה בְּ/אַפֶּ֗/ךָ הִ֭נָּשֵׂא בְּ/עַבְר֣וֹת צוֹרְרָ֑/י וְ/ע֥וּרָ/ה אֵ֝לַ֗/י מִשְׁפָּ֥ט צִוִּֽיתָ
The LORD shal iudge the people: iudge me, O LORD, according to my righteousnesse, and according to mine integritie that is in me.
GenevaThe Lord shall iudge the people: Iudge thou me, O Lord, according to my righteousnesse, and according to mine innocencie, that is in mee.
וַ/עֲדַ֣ת לְ֭אֻמִּים תְּסוֹבְבֶ֑/ךָּ וְ֝/עָלֶ֗י/הָ לַ/מָּר֥וֹם שֽׁוּבָ/ה
Oh let the wickednes of the wicked come to an end, but establish the iust: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reines.

יְהוָה֮ יָדִ֪ין עַ֫מִּ֥ים שָׁפְטֵ֥/נִי יְהוָ֑ה כְּ/צִדְקִ֖/י וּ/כְ/תֻמִּ֣/י עָלָֽ/י
My defence is of God, which saueth the vpright in heart.
GenevaMy defence is in God, who preserueth the vpright in heart.
יִגְמָר נָ֬א רַ֨ע רְשָׁעִים֮ וּ/תְכוֹנֵ֪ן צַ֫דִּ֥יק וּ/בֹחֵ֣ן לִ֭בּ֗וֹת וּ/כְלָי֗וֹת אֱלֹהִ֥ים צַדִּֽיק
God iudgeth the righteous, and God is angrie with the wicked euery-day.
GenevaGod iudgeth the righteous, and him that contemneth God euery day.
מָֽגִנִּ֥/י עַל אֱלֹהִ֑ים מ֝וֹשִׁ֗יעַ יִשְׁרֵי לֵֽב
If he turne not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bowe, and made it ready.

אֱ֭לֹהִים שׁוֹפֵ֣ט צַדִּ֑יק וְ֝/אֵ֗ל זֹעֵ֥ם בְּ/כָל יֽוֹם
He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrowes against the persecutors.
GenevaHee hath also prepared him deadly weapons: hee will ordeine his arrowes for them that persecute me.
אִם לֹ֣א יָ֭שׁוּב חַרְבּ֣/וֹ יִלְט֑וֹשׁ קַשְׁתּ֥/וֹ דָ֝רַ֗ךְ וַֽ/יְכוֹנְנֶֽ/הָ
Behold, he trauelleth with iniquitie, and hath conceiued mischiefe, and brought forth falshood.
GenevaBeholde, hee shall trauaile with wickednes: for he hath conceiued mischiefe, but he shall bring foorth a lye.
וְ֭/ל/וֹ הֵכִ֣ין כְּלֵי מָ֑וֶת חִ֝צָּ֗י/ו לְֽ/דֹלְקִ֥ים יִפְעָֽל
He made a pit and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
GenevaHee hath made a pitte and digged it, and is fallen into the pit that he made.
הִנֵּ֥ה יְחַבֶּל אָ֑וֶן וְ/הָרָ֥ה עָ֝מָ֗ל וְ/יָ֣לַד שָֽׁקֶר
His mischiefe shall returne vpon his owne head, and his violent dealing shall come downe vpon his owne pate.

I will praise the LORD according to his righteousnesse: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
