Deliuer me from mine enemies, O my God: defend mee from them that rise vp against me.

לַ/מְנַצֵּ֣חַ אַל תַּשְׁחֵת֮ לְ/דָוִ֪ד מִ֫כְתָּ֥ם בִּ/שְׁלֹ֥חַ שָׁא֑וּל וַֽ/יִּשְׁמְר֥וּ אֶת הַ֝/בַּ֗יִת לַ/הֲמִיתֽ/וֹ
Deliuer mee from the workers of iniquitie, and saue me from bloodie men.
GenevaDeliuer me from the wicked doers, and saue me from the bloody men.
הַצִּילֵ֖/נִי מֵ/אֹיְבַ֥/י אֱלֹהָ֑/י מִּ/מִתְקוֹמְמַ֥/י תְּשַׂגְּבֵֽ/נִי
For loe, they lye in waite for my soule; the mighty are gathered against me, not for my transgression, nor for my sinne, O LORD.
GenevaFor loe, they haue layd waite for my soule: the mightie men are gathered against me, not for mine offence, nor for my sinne, O Lord.
הַ֭צִּילֵ/נִי מִ/פֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָ֑וֶן וּֽ/מֵ/אַנְשֵׁ֥י דָ֝מִ֗ים הוֹשִׁיעֵֽ/נִי
They runne and prepare themselues without my fault: awake to helpe me, and behold.
GenevaThey runne and prepare themselues without a fault on my part: arise therefore to assist me, and beholde.
כִּ֤י הִנֵּ֪ה אָֽרְב֡וּ לְ/נַפְשִׁ֗/י יָג֣וּרוּ עָלַ֣/י עַזִ֑ים לֹא פִשְׁעִ֖/י וְ/לֹא חַטָּאתִ֣/י יְהוָֽה
Thou therefore, O LORD God of hostes, the God of Israel, awake to visite all the heathen: be not mercifull to any wicked transgressours. Selah.

בְּֽלִי עָ֭וֺן יְרוּצ֣וּ/ן וְ/יִכּוֹנָ֑נוּ ע֖וּרָ/ה לִ/קְרָאתִ֣/י וּ/רְאֵה
They returne at euening: they make a noise like a dogge, and go round about the citie.
GenevaThey goe to and from in the euening: they barke like dogs, and goe about the citie.
וְ/אַתָּ֤ה יְהוָֽה אֱלֹהִ֥ים צְבָא֡וֹת אֱלֹ֘הֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל הָקִ֗יצָ/ה לִ/פְקֹ֥ד כָּֽל הַ/גּוֹיִ֑ם אַל תָּחֹ֨ן כָּל בֹּ֖גְדֵי אָ֣וֶן סֶֽלָה
Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lippes; for who, say they, doeth heare?
GenevaBehold, they brag in their talke, and swords are in their lips: for, Who, say they, doeth heare?
יָשׁ֣וּבוּ לָ֭/עֶרֶב יֶהֱמ֥וּ כַ/כָּ֗לֶב וִ/יס֥וֹבְבוּ עִֽיר
But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt haue all the heathen in derision.
GenevaBut thou, O Lord, shalt haue them in derision, and thou shalt laugh at all the heathen.
הִנֵּ֤ה יַבִּ֘יע֤וּ/ן בְּ/פִי/הֶ֗ם חֲ֭רָבוֹת בְּ/שִׂפְתוֹתֵי/הֶ֑ם כִּי מִ֥י שֹׁמֵֽעַ
Because of his strength will I wait vpon thee: for God is my defence.
GenevaHe is strong: but I will waite vpon thee: for God is my defence.
וְ/אַתָּ֣ה יְ֭הוָה תִּשְׂחַק לָ֑/מוֹ תִּ֝לְעַ֗ג לְ/כָל גּוֹיִֽם
The God of my mercy shall preuent me; God shall let mee see my desire vpon mine enemies.
GenevaMy mercifull God will preuent me: God wil let me see my desire vpon mine enemies.
עֻ֭זּ/וֹ אֵלֶ֣י/ךָ אֶשְׁמֹ֑רָה כִּֽי אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים מִשְׂגַּבִּֽ/י
Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them downe, O Lord our shield.
GenevaSlay them not, least my people forget it: but scatter them abroad by thy power, and put them downe, O Lord our shield,
אֱלֹהֵ֣י חסד/ו יְקַדְּמֵ֑/נִי אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים יַרְאֵ֥/נִי בְ/שֹׁרְרָֽ/י
For the sinne of their mouth, and the words of their lips, let them euen be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speake.

אַל תַּהַרְגֵ֤/ם פֶּֽן יִשְׁכְּח֬וּ עַמִּ֗/י הֲנִיעֵ֣/מוֹ בְ֭/חֵילְ/ךָ וְ/הוֹרִידֵ֑/מוֹ מָֽגִנֵּ֣/נוּ אֲדֹנָֽ/י
Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Iacob, vnto the ends of the earth. Selah.
GenevaConsume them in thy wrath: consume them that they be no more: and let them knowe that God ruleth in Iaakob, euen vnto the ends of the world. Selah.
חַטַּאת פִּ֗י/מוֹ דְּֽבַר שְׂפָ֫תֵ֥י/מוֹ וְ/יִלָּכְד֥וּ בִ/גְאוֹנָ֑/ם וּ/מֵ/אָלָ֖ה וּ/מִ/כַּ֣חַשׁ יְסַפֵּֽרוּ
And at euening let them returne, and let them make a noise like a dogge, and goe round about the citie.

כַּלֵּ֥ה בְ/חֵמָה֮ כַּלֵּ֪ה וְֽ/אֵ֫ינֵ֥/מוֹ וְֽ/יֵדְע֗וּ כִּֽי אֱ֭לֹהִים מֹשֵׁ֣ל בְּ/יַעֲקֹ֑ב לְ/אַפְסֵ֖י הָ/אָ֣רֶץ סֶֽלָה
Let them wander vp and downe for meate, and grudge if they be not satisfied.
GenevaThey shall runne here and there for meate: and surely they shall not be satisfied, though they tary all night.
וְ/יָשׁ֣וּבוּ לָ֭/עֶרֶב יֶהֱמ֥וּ כַ/כָּ֗לֶב וִ/יס֥וֹבְבוּ עִֽיר
But I will sing of thy power; yea I will sing alowd of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast bene my defence and refuge, in the day of my trouble.
GenevaBut I wil sing of thy power, and will prayse thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast bene my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
הֵ֭מָּה ינועו/ן לֶ/אֱכֹ֑ל אִם לֹ֥א יִ֝שְׂבְּע֗וּ וַ/יָּלִֽינוּ
Vnto thee, O my strength, wil I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.
