Great is the LORD, and greatly to bee praised in the citie of our God, in the mountaine of his holinesse.
GenevaA song or Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praysed, in the Citie of our God, euen vpon his holy Mountaine.
שִׁ֥יר מִ֝זְמוֹר לִ/בְנֵי קֹֽרַח
Beautifull for situation, the ioy of the whole earth is moūt Sion, on the sides of the North, the citie of the great King.
GenevaMount Zion, lying Northwarde, is faire in situation: it is the ioy of the whole earth, and the Citie of the great King.
גָּ֘ד֤וֹל יְהוָ֣ה וּ/מְהֻלָּ֣ל מְאֹ֑ד בְּ/עִ֥יר אֱ֝לֹהֵ֗י/נוּ הַר קָדְשֽׁ/וֹ
God is knowen in her palaces for a refuge.
GenevaIn the palaces thereof God is knowen for a refuge.
יְפֵ֥ה נוֹף֮ מְשׂ֪וֹשׂ כָּל הָ֫/אָ֥רֶץ הַר צִ֭יּוֹן יַרְכְּתֵ֣י צָפ֑וֹן קִ֝רְיַ֗ת מֶ֣לֶךְ רָֽב
For loe, the kings were assembled: they passed by together.
GenevaFor lo, the Kings were gathered, and went together.
אֱלֹהִ֥ים בְּ/אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֗י/הָ נוֹדַ֥ע לְ/מִשְׂגָּֽב
They sawe it, and so they marueiled, they were troubled and hasted away.
GenevaWhen they sawe it, they marueiled: they were astonied, and suddenly driuen backe.
כִּֽי הִנֵּ֣ה הַ֭/מְּלָכִים נֽוֹעֲד֑וּ עָבְר֥וּ יַחְדָּֽו
Feare tooke holde vpon them there, and paine, as of a woman in trauaile.
GenevaFeare came there vpon them, and sorowe, as vpon a woman in trauaile.
הֵ֣מָּה רָ֭אוּ כֵּ֣ן תָּמָ֑הוּ נִבְהֲל֥וּ נֶחְפָּֽזוּ
Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an East wind.
GenevaAs with an East winde thou breakest the shippes of Tarshish, so were they destroyed.
רְ֭עָדָה אֲחָזָ֣תַ/ם שָׁ֑ם חִ֝֗יל כַּ/יּוֹלֵֽדָה
As we haue heard, so haue wee seene in the citie of the LORD of hosts, in the citie of our God, God will establish it for euer. Selah,

בְּ/ר֥וּחַ קָדִ֑ים תְּ֝שַׁבֵּ֗ר אֳנִיּ֥וֹת תַּרְשִֽׁישׁ
Wee haue thought of thy louing kindnesse, O God, in the middest of thy Temple.
GenevaWe waite for thy louing kindnes, O God, in the middes of thy Temple.
כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֤ר שָׁמַ֨עְנוּ כֵּ֤ן רָאִ֗ינוּ בְּ/עִיר יְהוָ֣ה צְ֭בָאוֹת בְּ/עִ֣יר אֱלֹהֵ֑י/נוּ אֱלֹ֘הִ֤ים יְכוֹנְנֶ֖/הָ עַד עוֹלָ֣ם סֶֽלָה
According to thy Name, O God, so is thy praise vnto the endes of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousnesse.
GenevaO God, according vnto thy Name, so is thy prayse vnto the worlds end: thy right hand is full of righteousnes.
דִּמִּ֣ינוּ אֱלֹהִ֣ים חַסְדֶּ֑/ךָ בְּ֝/קֶ֗רֶב הֵיכָלֶֽ/ךָ
Let mount Sion reioyce, let the daughters of Iudah be glad, because of thy iudgements.

כְּ/שִׁמְ/ךָ֤ אֱלֹהִ֗ים כֵּ֣ן תְּ֭הִלָּתְ/ךָ עַל קַצְוֵי אֶ֑רֶץ צֶ֝֗דֶק מָלְאָ֥ה יְמִינֶֽ/ךָ
Walke about Sion, and goe round about her: tell the towres thereof.
GenevaCompasse about Zion, and goe round about it, and tell the towres thereof.
יִשְׂמַ֤ח הַר צִיּ֗וֹן תָּ֭גֵלְנָה בְּנ֣וֹת יְהוּדָ֑ה לְ֝מַ֗עַן מִשְׁפָּטֶֽי/ךָ
Marke yee well her bulwarkes, consider her palaces; that yee may tell it to the generation following.
GenevaMarke well the wall thereof: beholde her towres, that ye may tell your posteritie.
סֹ֣בּוּ צִ֭יּוֹן וְ/הַקִּיפ֑וּ/הָ סִ֝פְר֗וּ מִגְדָּלֶֽי/הָ
For this God is our God for euer, and euer; he will be our guide euen vnto death.
GenevaFor this God is our God for euer and euer: he shall be our guide vnto the death.
שִׁ֤יתוּ לִבְּ/כֶ֨ם לְֽ/חֵילָ֗/ה פַּסְּג֥וּ אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֑י/הָ לְמַ֥עַן תְּ֝סַפְּר֗וּ לְ/ד֣וֹר אַחֲרֽוֹן
