Psalms 28
A Psalm of David.
Vnto thee will I cry, O LORD, my rocke, be not silent to mee: lest if thou be silent to me, I become like them that goe downe into the pit.
GenevaA Psalme of David. Unto thee, O Lord, doe I crie: O my strength, be not deafe toward mee, lest, if thou answere me not, I be like them that goe downe into the pit.
לְ/דָוִ֡ד אֵ֘לֶ֤י/ךָ יְהוָ֨ה אֶקְרָ֗א צוּרִ/י֮ אַֽל תֶּחֱרַ֪שׁ מִ֫מֶּ֥/נִּי פֶּן תֶּֽחֱשֶׁ֥ה מִמֶּ֑/נִּי וְ֝/נִמְשַׁ֗לְתִּי עִם י֥וֹרְדֵי בֽוֹר
Heare the voyce of my supplications, when I cry vnto thee: when I lift vp my handes toward thy holy Oracle.
GenevaHeare the voyce of my petitions, when I crie vnto thee, when I holde vp mine handes towarde thine holy Oracle.
שְׁמַ֤ע ק֣וֹל תַּ֭חֲנוּנַ/י בְּ/שַׁוְּעִ֣/י אֵלֶ֑י/ךָ בְּ/נָשְׂאִ֥/י יָ֝דַ֗/י אֶל דְּבִ֥יר קָדְשֶֽׁ/ךָ
Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquitie: which speake peace to their neighbors, but mischiefe is in their hearts.
GenevaDrawe mee not away with the wicked, and with the woorkers of iniquitie: which speake friendly to their neighbours, when malice is in their hearts.
אַל תִּמְשְׁכֵ֣/נִי עִם רְשָׁעִים֮ וְ/עִם פֹּ֪עֲלֵ֫י אָ֥וֶן דֹּבְרֵ֣י שָׁ֭לוֹם עִם רֵֽעֵי/הֶ֑ם וְ֝/רָעָ֗ה בִּ/לְבָבָֽ/ם
Giue them according to their deedes, and according to the wickednes of their endeuours: giue them after the worke of their handes, render to them their desert.
GenevaReward them according to their deedes, and according to the wickednes of their inuentions: recompense them after the woorke of their handes: render them their reward.
תֶּן לָ/הֶ֣ם כְּ/פָעֳלָ/ם֮ וּ/כְ/רֹ֪עַ מַֽעַלְלֵ֫י/הֶ֥ם כְּ/מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יְ֭דֵי/הֶם תֵּ֣ן לָ/הֶ֑ם הָשֵׁ֖ב גְּמוּלָ֣/ם לָ/הֶֽם
Because they regard not the workes of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shal destroy them, and not build them vp.
GenevaFor they regarde not the woorkes of the Lord, nor the operation of his handes: therefore breake them downe, and builde them not vp.
כִּ֤י לֹ֤א יָבִ֡ינוּ אֶל פְּעֻלֹּ֣ת יְ֭הוָה וְ/אֶל מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יָדָ֑י/ו יֶ֝הֶרְסֵ֗/ם וְ/לֹ֣א יִבְנֵֽ/ם
Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voyce of my supplications.
GenevaPraised be the Lord, for he hath heard the voyce of my petitions.
בָּר֥וּךְ יְהוָ֑ה כִּי שָׁ֝מַע ק֣וֹל תַּחֲנוּנָֽ/י
The LORD is my strength, and my shield, my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly reioyceth, and with my song will I praise him.
GenevaThe Lord is my strength and my shielde: mine heart trusted in him, and I was helped: therfore mine heart shall reioyce, and with my song will I praise him.
יְהוָ֤ה עֻזִּ֥/י וּ/מָגִנִּ/י֮ בּ֤/וֹ בָטַ֥ח לִבִּ֗/י וְֽ/נֶ֫עֱזָ֥רְתִּי וַ/יַּעֲלֹ֥ז לִבִּ֑/י וּֽ/מִ/שִּׁירִ֥/י אֲהוֹדֶֽ/נּוּ
The LORD is their strength, and hee is the sauing strength of his Anointed.
GenevaThe Lord is their strength, and he is the strength of the deliuerances of his anointed.
יְהוָ֥ה עֹֽז לָ֑/מוֹ וּ/מָ֘ע֤וֹז יְשׁוּע֖וֹת מְשִׁיח֣/וֹ הֽוּא
Saue thy people, and blesse thine inheritance, feede them also, and lift them vp for euer.
GenevaSaue thy people, and blesse thine inheritance: feede them also, and exalt them for euer.
הוֹשִׁ֤יעָ/ה אֶת עַמֶּ֗/ךָ וּ/בָרֵ֥ךְ אֶת נַחֲלָתֶ֑/ךָ וּֽ/רְעֵ֥/ם וְ֝/נַשְּׂאֵ֗/ם עַד הָ/עוֹלָֽם
