Psalms 115
Not vnto vs, O LORD, not vnto vs, but vnto thy name giue glory: for thy mercy, and for thy truthes sake.
GenevaNot vnto vs, O Lord, not vnto vs, but vnto thy Name giue the glorie, for thy louing mercie and for thy truethes sake.
לֹ֤א לָ֥/נוּ יְהוָ֗ה לֹ֫א לָ֥/נוּ כִּֽי לְ֭/שִׁמְ/ךָ תֵּ֣ן כָּב֑וֹד עַל חַ֝סְדְּ/ךָ֗ עַל אֲמִתֶּֽ/ךָ
Wherefore should the heathen say: Where is now their God?
GenevaWherefore shall the heathen say, Where is nowe their God?
לָ֭/מָּה יֹאמְר֣וּ הַ/גּוֹיִ֑ם אַיֵּה נָ֝֗א אֱלֹהֵי/הֶֽם
But our God is in the heauens: he hath done whatsoeuer he pleased.
GenevaBut our God is in heauen: he doeth what so euer he will.
וֵֽ/אלֹהֵ֥י/נוּ בַ/שָּׁמָ֑יִם כֹּ֭ל אֲשֶׁר חָפֵ֣ץ עָשָֽׂה
Their idoles are siluer and gold: the worke of mens hands.
GenevaTheir idoles are siluer and golde, euen the worke of mens hands.
עֲֽ֭צַבֵּי/הֶם כֶּ֣סֶף וְ/זָהָ֑ב מַ֝עֲשֵׂ֗ה יְדֵ֣י אָדָֽם
They haue mouths, but they speake not; eies haue they, but they see not.
GenevaThey haue a mouth and speake not: they haue eyes and see not.
פֶּֽה לָ֭/הֶם וְ/לֹ֣א יְדַבֵּ֑רוּ עֵינַ֥יִם לָ֝/הֶ֗ם וְ/לֹ֣א יִרְאֽוּ
They haue eares, but they heare not: noses haue they, but they smell not.
GenevaThey haue eares and heare not: they haue noses and smelll not.
אָזְנַ֣יִם לָ֭/הֶם וְ/לֹ֣א יִשְׁמָ֑עוּ אַ֥ף לָ֝/הֶ֗ם וְ/לֹ֣א יְרִיחֽוּ/ן
They haue hands, but they handle not, feete haue they, but they walke not: neither speake they through their throat.
GenevaThey haue handes and touche not: they haue feete and walke not: neither make they a sound with their throte.
יְדֵי/הֶ֤ם וְ/לֹ֬א יְמִישׁ֗וּ/ן רַ֭גְלֵי/הֶם וְ/לֹ֣א יְהַלֵּ֑כוּ לֹֽא יֶ֝הְגּ֗וּ בִּ/גְרוֹנָֽ/ם
They that make them are like vnto them: so is euery one that trusteth in them.
GenevaThey that make them are like vnto them: so are all that trust in them.
כְּ֭מוֹ/הֶם יִהְי֣וּ עֹשֵׂי/הֶ֑ם כֹּ֭ל אֲשֶׁר בֹּטֵ֣חַ בָּ/הֶֽם
O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their helpe and their shield.
GenevaO Israel, trust thou in the Lord: for he is their helpe and their shielde.
יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל בְּטַ֣ח בַּ/יהוָ֑ה עֶזְרָ֖/ם וּ/מָגִנָּ֣/ם הֽוּא
O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their helpe & their shield.
GenevaO house of Aaron, trust ye in the Lord: for he is their helpe and their shielde.
בֵּ֣ית אַ֭הֲרֹן בִּטְח֣וּ בַ/יהוָ֑ה עֶזְרָ֖/ם וּ/מָגִנָּ֣/ם הֽוּא
Ye that feare the LORD trust in the LORD: he is their helpe and their shield.
GenevaYe that feare the Lord, trust in the Lord: for he is their helper and their shield.
יִרְאֵ֣י יְ֭הוָה בִּטְח֣וּ בַ/יהוָ֑ה עֶזְרָ֖/ם וּ/מָגִנָּ֣/ם הֽוּא
The LORD hath bene mindfull of vs, he will blesse vs, he will blesse the house of Israel: he will blesse the house of Aaron.
GenevaThe Lord hath bene mindfull of vs: he will blesse, he will blesse the house of Israel, he will blesse the house of Aaron.
יְהוָה֮ זְכָרָ֪/נוּ יְבָ֫רֵ֥ךְ יְ֭בָרֵךְ אֶת בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל יְ֝בָרֵ֗ךְ אֶת בֵּ֥ית אַהֲרֹֽן
Hee will blesse them that feare the LORD: both small and great.
GenevaHe will blesse them that feare the Lord, both small and great.
יְ֭בָרֵךְ יִרְאֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה הַ֝/קְּטַנִּ֗ים עִם הַ/גְּדֹלִֽים
The LORD shall increase you more and more: you and your children.
GenevaThe Lord will increase his graces towarde you, euen toward you and toward your children.
יֹסֵ֣ף יְהוָ֣ה עֲלֵי/כֶ֑ם עֲ֝לֵי/כֶ֗ם וְ/עַל בְּנֵי/כֶֽם
You are blessed of the LORD: which made heauen and earth.
GenevaYe are blessed of the Lord, which made the heauen and the earth.
בְּרוּכִ֣ים אַ֭תֶּם לַ/יהוָ֑ה עֹ֝שֵׂ֗ה שָׁמַ֥יִם וָ/אָֽרֶץ
The heauen, euen the heauens are the LORDs: but the earth hath hee giuen to the children of men.
GenevaThe heauens, euen the heauens are the Lordes: but he hath giuen the earth to the sonnes of men.
הַ/שָּׁמַ֣יִם שָׁ֭מַיִם לַ/יהוָ֑ה וְ֝/הָ/אָ֗רֶץ נָתַ֥ן לִ/בְנֵי אָדָֽם
The dead praise not the LORD: neither any that go downe into silence.
GenevaThe dead prayse not the Lord, neither any that goe downe into the place of silence.
לֹ֣א הַ֭/מֵּתִים יְהַֽלְלוּ יָ֑הּ וְ֝/לֹ֗א כָּל יֹרְדֵ֥י דוּמָֽה
But we will blesse the LORD, from this time foorth and for euermore. Praise the LORD.
GenevaBut we will prayse the Lord from henceforth and for euer. Prayse ye the Lord.
וַ/אֲנַ֤חְנוּ נְבָ֘רֵ֤ךְ יָ֗הּ מֵֽ/עַתָּ֥ה וְ/עַד עוֹלָ֗ם הַֽלְלוּ יָֽהּ
