GenevaThinkest thou this right, that thou hast said, I am more righteous then God?
For thou saydst, what aduantage will it bee vnto thee, and, what profite shall I haue, if I bee cleansed from my sinne?
GenevaFor thou hast said, What profiteth it thee and what auaileth it me, to purge me from my sinne?
I will answere thee, and thy companions with thee.
GenevaTherefore will I answere thee, and thy companions with thee.
Looke vnto the heauens and see, and behold the clouds which are higher then thou.
GenevaLooke vnto the heauen, and see and behold the cloudes which are hyer then thou.
If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou vnto him?
GenevaIf thou sinnest, what doest thou against him, yea, when thy sinnes be many, what doest thou vnto him?
If thou be righteous, what giuest thou him? or what receiueth hee of thine hand?
GenevaIf thou be righteous, what giuest thou vnto him? or what receiueth he at thine hand?
Thy wickednesse may hurt a man as thou art, and thy righteousnesse may profit the sonne of man.
GenevaThy wickednesse may hurt a man as thou art: and thy righteousnes may profite ye sonne of man.

But none saith, where is God my maker, who giueth songs in the night?
GenevaBut none saieth, Where is God that made me, which giueth songs in the nyght?
Who teacheth vs more then the beasts of the earth, and maketh vs wiser then the foules of heauen.
GenevaWhich teacheth vs more then the beastes of the earth, and giueth vs more wisdome then the foules of the heauen.
There they crie, (but none giueth answere) because of the pride of euill men.
GenevaThen they crye because of the violence of the wicked, but he answereth not.
Surely God wil not heare vanitie, neither wil the Almightie regard it.
GenevaSurely God will not heare vanitie, neyther will the Almightie regard it.
Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet iudgement is before him, therefore trust thou in him.
GenevaAlthough thou sayest to God, Thou wilt not regard it, yet iudgement is before him: trust thou in him.
But now because it is not so, hee hath visited in his anger, yet he knoweth it not in great extremitie:
GenevaBut nowe because his anger hath not visited, nor called to count the euill with great extremitie,
Therefore doeth Iob open his mouth in vaine: he multiplieth words without knowledge.
GenevaTherfore Iob openeth his mouth in vaine, and multiplieth wordes without knowledge.
