Genesis 13
And Abram went vp out of Egypt, he and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the South.

וַ/יַּעַל֩ אַבְרָ֨ם מִ/מִּצְרַ֜יִם ה֠וּא וְ/אִשְׁתּ֧/וֹ וְ/כָל אֲשֶׁר ל֛/וֹ וְ/ל֥וֹט עִמּ֖/וֹ הַ/נֶּֽגְבָּ/ה
And Abram was very rich in cattell, in siluer, and in gold.
GenevaAnd Abram was very rich in cattell, in siluer and in golde.
וְ/אַבְרָ֖ם כָּבֵ֣ד מְאֹ֑ד בַּ/מִּקְנֶ֕ה בַּ/כֶּ֖סֶף וּ/בַ/זָּהָֽב
And hee went on his iourneyes from the South, euen to Beth-el, vnto the place where his tent had bene at the beginning, betweene Beth-el and Hai:

וַ/יֵּ֨לֶךְ֙ לְ/מַסָּעָ֔י/ו מִ/נֶּ֖גֶב וְ/עַד בֵּֽית אֵ֑ל עַד הַ/מָּק֗וֹם אֲשֶׁר הָ֨יָה שָׁ֤ם אהל/ה בַּ/תְּחִלָּ֔ה בֵּ֥ין בֵּֽית אֵ֖ל וּ/בֵ֥ין הָ/עָֽי
Unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the Name of the LORD.

אֶל מְקוֹם֙ הַ/מִּזְבֵּ֔חַ אֲשֶׁר עָ֥שָׂה שָׁ֖ם בָּ/רִאשֹׁנָ֑ה וַ/יִּקְרָ֥א שָׁ֛ם אַבְרָ֖ם בְּ/שֵׁ֥ם יְהוָֽה
¶ And Lot also which went with Abram, had flocks and heards, & tents.
GenevaAnd Lot also, who went with Abram, had sheepe, and cattell and tentes,
וְ/גַם לְ/ל֔וֹט הַ/הֹלֵ֖ךְ אֶת אַבְרָ֑ם הָיָ֥ה צֹאן וּ/בָקָ֖ר וְ/אֹהָלִֽים
And the land was not able to beare them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.

וְ/לֹא נָשָׂ֥א אֹתָ֛/ם הָ/אָ֖רֶץ לָ/שֶׁ֣בֶת יַחְדָּ֑ו כִּֽי הָיָ֤ה רְכוּשָׁ/ם֙ רָ֔ב וְ/לֹ֥א יָֽכְל֖וּ לָ/שֶׁ֥בֶת יַחְדָּֽו
And there was a strife betweene the heardmen of Abrams cattell, and the heardmen of Lots cattell: And the Canaanite, and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.
GenevaAlso there was debate betweene ye heardmen of Abrams cattell, and the heardmen of Lots cattell. (and the Canaanites and the Perizzites dwelled at that time in the land.)
וַֽ/יְהִי רִ֗יב בֵּ֚ין רֹעֵ֣י מִקְנֵֽה אַבְרָ֔ם וּ/בֵ֖ין רֹעֵ֣י מִקְנֵה ל֑וֹט וְ/הַֽ/כְּנַעֲנִי֙ וְ/הַ/פְּרִזִּ֔י אָ֖ז יֹשֵׁ֥ב בָּ/אָֽרֶץ
And Abram said vnto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, betweene mee and thee, and betweene my heardmen and thy heardmen: for wee bee brethren.
GenevaThen saide Abram vnto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, betweene thee and me, neither betweene mine heardmen and thine heardmen: for we be brethren.
וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר אַבְרָ֜ם אֶל ל֗וֹט אַל נָ֨א תְהִ֤י מְרִיבָה֙ בֵּינִ֣/י וּ/בֵינֶ֔י/ךָ וּ/בֵ֥ין רֹעַ֖/י וּ/בֵ֣ין רֹעֶ֑י/ךָ כִּֽי אֲנָשִׁ֥ים אַחִ֖ים אֲנָֽחְנוּ
Is not the whole land before thee? Separate thy selfe, I pray thee, from mee: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will goe to the right: or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will goe to the left.
GenevaIs not the whole land before thee? depart I pray thee from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will goe to the right: or if thou goe to the right hand, then I will take the left.
הֲ/לֹ֤א כָל הָ/אָ֨רֶץ֙ לְ/פָנֶ֔י/ךָ הִפָּ֥רֶד נָ֖א מֵ/עָלָ֑/י אִם הַ/שְּׂמֹ֣אל וְ/אֵימִ֔נָה וְ/אִם הַ/יָּמִ֖ין וְ/אַשְׂמְאִֽילָה
And Lot lifted vp his eyes, and beheld all the plaine of Iordane, that it was well watered euery where before the LORD destroyed Sodome and Gomorah, euen as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou commest vnto Zoar.
GenevaSo when Lot lifted vp his eyes, he saw that all the plaine of Iorden was watered euery where: (for before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorah, it was as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou goest vnto Zoar)
וַ/יִּשָּׂא ל֣וֹט אֶת עֵינָ֗י/ו וַ/יַּרְא֙ אֶת כָּל כִּכַּ֣ר הַ/יַּרְדֵּ֔ן כִּ֥י כֻלָּ֖/הּ מַשְׁקֶ֑ה לִ/פְנֵ֣י שַׁחֵ֣ת יְהוָ֗ה אֶת סְדֹם֙ וְ/אֶת עֲמֹרָ֔ה כְּ/גַן יְהוָה֙ כְּ/אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם בֹּאֲ/כָ֖ה צֹֽעַר
Then Lot chose him all the plaine of Iordane: and Lot iourneyed East; and they separated themselues the one from the other.
GenevaThen Lot chose vnto him all the plaine of Iorden, and tooke his iourney from the East: and they departed the one from the other.
וַ/יִּבְחַר ל֣/וֹ ל֗וֹט אֵ֚ת כָּל כִּכַּ֣ר הַ/יַּרְדֵּ֔ן וַ/יִּסַּ֥ע ל֖וֹט מִ/קֶּ֑דֶם וַ/יִּפָּ֣רְד֔וּ אִ֖ישׁ מֵ/עַ֥ל אָחִֽי/ו
Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plaine, and pitched his tent toward Sodome.
GenevaAbram dwelled in the lande of Canaan, and Lot abode in the cities of the plaine, and pitched his tent euen to Sodom.
אַבְרָ֖ם יָשַׁ֣ב בְּ/אֶֽרֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן וְ/ל֗וֹט יָשַׁב֙ בְּ/עָרֵ֣י הַ/כִּכָּ֔ר וַ/יֶּאֱהַ֖ל עַד סְדֹֽם
But the men of Sodome were wicked, and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.
GenevaNow the men of Sodom were wicked and exceeding sinners against the Lord.
וְ/אַנְשֵׁ֣י סְדֹ֔ם רָעִ֖ים וְ/חַטָּאִ֑ים לַ/יהוָ֖ה מְאֹֽד
¶ And the LORD said vnto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift vp now thine eyes, and looke from the place where thou art, Northward, and Southward, and Eastward, and Westward.
GenevaThen the Lord saide vnto Abram, (after that Lot was departed from him) Lift vp thine eyes nowe, and looke from the place where thou art, Northward, and Southward, and Eastwarde, and Westward:
וַֽ/יהוָ֞ה אָמַ֣ר אֶל אַבְרָ֗ם אַחֲרֵי֙ הִפָּֽרֶד ל֣וֹט מֵֽ/עִמּ֔/וֹ שָׂ֣א נָ֤א עֵינֶ֨י/ךָ֙ וּ/רְאֵ֔ה מִן הַ/מָּק֖וֹם אֲשֶׁר אַתָּ֣ה שָׁ֑ם צָפֹ֥נָ/ה וָ/נֶ֖גְבָּ/ה וָ/קֵ֥דְמָ/ה וָ/יָֽמָּ/ה
For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seede for euer.
GenevaFor all the land, which thou seest, will I giue vnto thee and to thy seede for euer,
כִּ֧י אֶת כָּל הָ/אָ֛רֶץ אֲשֶׁר אַתָּ֥ה רֹאֶ֖ה לְ/ךָ֣ אֶתְּנֶ֑/נָּה וּֽ/לְ/זַרְעֲ/ךָ֖ עַד עוֹלָֽם
And I will make thy seede as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbred.

וְ/שַׂמְתִּ֥י אֶֽת זַרְעֲ/ךָ֖ כַּ/עֲפַ֣ר הָ/אָ֑רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אִם יוּכַ֣ל אִ֗ישׁ לִ/מְנוֹת֙ אֶת עֲפַ֣ר הָ/אָ֔רֶץ גַּֽם זַרְעֲ/ךָ֖ יִמָּנֶֽה
Arise, walke through the land, in the length of it, and in the breadth of it: for I will giue it vnto thee.

ק֚וּם הִתְהַלֵּ֣ךְ בָּ/אָ֔רֶץ לְ/אָרְכָּ֖/הּ וּ/לְ/רָחְבָּ֑/הּ כִּ֥י לְ/ךָ֖ אֶתְּנֶֽ/נָּה
Then Abram remoued his tent, and came and dwelt in the plaine of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar vnto the LORD.
