Exodus 6

Then the LORD said vnto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will doe to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall hee let them goe, and with a strong hand shall he driue them out of his land.

וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל מֹשֶׁ֔ה עַתָּ֣ה תִרְאֶ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֖ה לְ/פַרְעֹ֑ה כִּ֣י בְ/יָ֤ד חֲזָקָה֙ יְשַׁלְּחֵ֔/ם וּ/בְ/יָ֣ד חֲזָקָ֔ה יְגָרְשֵׁ֖/ם מֵ/אַרְצֽ/וֹ

And God spake vnto Moses, and said vnto him, I am the LORD.

GenevaMoreouer God spake vnto Moses, and sayd vnto him, I am the Lord,

וַ/יְדַבֵּ֥ר אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶל מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַ/יֹּ֥אמֶר אֵלָ֖י/ו אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה

And I appeared vnto Abraham, vnto Isaac, and vnto Iacob, by the Name of God Almighty, but by my name IEHOVAH was I not knowen to them.

וָ/אֵרָ֗א אֶל אַבְרָהָ֛ם אֶל יִצְחָ֥ק וְ/אֶֽל יַעֲקֹ֖ב בְּ/אֵ֣ל שַׁדָּ֑י וּ/שְׁמִ֣/י יְהוָ֔ה לֹ֥א נוֹדַ֖עְתִּי לָ/הֶֽם

And I haue also established my Couenant with them, to giue them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.

And I haue also heard the groning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keepe in bondage: and I haue remembred my Couenant.

וְ/גַ֣ם אֲנִ֣י שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי אֶֽת נַאֲקַת֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר מִצְרַ֖יִם מַעֲבִדִ֣ים אֹתָ֑/ם וָ/אֶזְכֹּ֖ר אֶת בְּרִיתִֽ/י

Wherefore say vnto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from vnder the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage: and I will redeeme you with a stretched out arme, and with great iudgements.

לָ/כֵ֞ן אֱמֹ֥ר לִ/בְנֵֽי יִשְׂרָאֵ֘ל אֲנִ֣י יְהוָה֒ וְ/הוֹצֵאתִ֣י אֶתְ/כֶ֗ם מִ/תַּ֨חַת֙ סִבְלֹ֣ת מִצְרַ֔יִם וְ/הִצַּלְתִּ֥י אֶתְ/כֶ֖ם מֵ/עֲבֹדָתָ֑/ם וְ/גָאַלְתִּ֤י אֶתְ/כֶם֙ בִּ/זְר֣וֹעַ נְטוּיָ֔ה וּ/בִ/שְׁפָטִ֖ים גְּדֹלִֽים

And I will take you to mee for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from vnder the burdens of the Egyptians.

GenevaAlso I will take you for my people, and will be your God: then ye shall knowe that I the Lord your God bring you out from the burdens of the Egyptians.

וְ/לָקַחְתִּ֨י אֶתְ/כֶ֥ם לִ/י֙ לְ/עָ֔ם וְ/הָיִ֥יתִי לָ/כֶ֖ם לֵֽ/אלֹהִ֑ים וִֽ/ידַעְתֶּ֗ם כִּ֣י אֲנִ֤י יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹ֣הֵי/כֶ֔ם הַ/מּוֹצִ֣יא אֶתְ/כֶ֔ם מִ/תַּ֖חַת סִבְל֥וֹת מִצְרָֽיִם

And I will bring you in vnto the lande concerning the which I did sweare to giue it, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Iacob, and I will giue it you for an heritage, I am the LORD.

וְ/הֵבֵאתִ֤י אֶתְ/כֶם֙ אֶל הָ/אָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָשָׂ֨אתִי֙ אֶת יָדִ֔/י לָ/תֵ֣ת אֹתָ֔/הּ לְ/אַבְרָהָ֥ם לְ/יִצְחָ֖ק וּֽ/לְ/יַעֲקֹ֑ב וְ/נָתַתִּ֨י אֹתָ֥/הּ לָ/כֶ֛ם מוֹרָשָׁ֖ה אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה

¶ And Moses spake so vnto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not vnto Moses, for anguish of spirit, and for cruell bondage.

And the LORD spake vnto Moses, saying,

Goe in, speake vnto Pharaoh King of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel goe out of his land.

And Moses spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel haue not hearkened vnto me: how then shal Pharaoh heare me, who am of vncircumcised lips?

וַ/יְדַבֵּ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֔ה לִ/פְנֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה לֵ/אמֹ֑ר הֵ֤ן בְּנֵֽי יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לֹֽא שָׁמְע֣וּ אֵלַ֔/י וְ/אֵיךְ֙ יִשְׁמָעֵ֣/נִי פַרְעֹ֔ה וַ/אֲנִ֖י עֲרַ֥ל שְׂפָתָֽיִם

And the LORD spake vnto Moses and vnto Aaron, & gaue them a charge vnto the children of Israel, and vnto Pharaoh King of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

וַ/יְדַבֵּ֣ר יְהוָה֮ אֶל מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְ/אֶֽל אַהֲרֹן֒ וַ/יְצַוֵּ/ם֙ אֶל בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְ/אֶל פַּרְעֹ֖ה מֶ֣לֶךְ מִצְרָ֑יִם לְ/הוֹצִ֥יא אֶת בְּנֵֽי יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֵ/אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם

¶ These be the heads of their fathers houses: The sonnes of Reuben the first borne of Israel, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these be the families of Reuben.

אֵ֖לֶּה רָאשֵׁ֣י בֵית אֲבֹתָ֑/ם בְּנֵ֨י רְאוּבֵ֜ן בְּכֹ֣ר יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל חֲנ֤וֹךְ וּ/פַלּוּא֙ חֶצְר֣וֹן וְ/כַרְמִ֔י אֵ֖לֶּה מִשְׁפְּחֹ֥ת רְאוּבֵֽן

And the sonnes of Simeon: Iemuel, and Iamin, and Ohad and Iachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the sonne of a Canaanitish woman: these are the families of Simeon.

¶ And these are the names of the sonnes of Leui, according to their generations: Gershon and Kohath and Merari: and the yeeres of the life of Leui, were an hundred, thirtie and seuen yeeres.

The sonnes of Gershon: Libni and Shimi, according to their families.

בְּנֵ֥י גֵרְשׁ֛וֹן לִבְנִ֥י וְ/שִׁמְעִ֖י לְ/מִשְׁפְּחֹתָֽ/ם

And the sonnes of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel. And the yeeres of the life of Kohath, were an hundred thirtie and three yeeres.

וּ/בְנֵ֣י קְהָ֔ת עַמְרָ֣ם וְ/יִצְהָ֔ר וְ/חֶבְר֖וֹן וְ/עֻזִּיאֵ֑ל וּ/שְׁנֵי֙ חַיֵּ֣י קְהָ֔ת שָׁלֹ֧שׁ וּ/שְׁלֹשִׁ֛ים וּ/מְאַ֖ת שָׁנָֽה

And the sonnes of Merari: Mahali and Mushi: these are the families of Leui, according to their generations.

וּ/בְנֵ֥י מְרָרִ֖י מַחְלִ֣י וּ/מוּשִׁ֑י אֵ֛לֶּה מִשְׁפְּחֹ֥ת הַ/לֵּוִ֖י לְ/תֹלְדֹתָֽ/ם

And Amram tooke him Iochebed his fathers sister to wife, and shee bare him Aaron and Moses: and the yeeres of the life of Amram were an hundred, and thirtie and seuen yeeres.

¶ And the sonnes of Izhar: Korah and Nepheg, and Zichri.

וּ/בְנֵ֖י עֻזִּיאֵ֑ל מִֽישָׁאֵ֥ל וְ/אֶלְצָפָ֖ן וְ/סִתְרִֽי

And Aaron tooke him Elisheba daughter of Amminadab sister of Naashon to wife, and she bare him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

And the sonnes of Korah, Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph: these are the families of the Korhites.

These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom the LORD said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt, according to their armies.

These are they which spake to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: These are that Moses and Aaron.

¶ And it came to passe on the day when the LORD spake vnto Moses in the land of Egypt,

And Moses said before the LORD, Behold, I am of vncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken vnto mee?
