And God spake all these words, saying,
GenevaThen God spake all these wordes, saying,
וַ/יְדַבֵּ֣ר אֱלֹהִ֔ים אֵ֛ת כָּל הַ/דְּבָרִ֥ים הָ/אֵ֖לֶּה לֵ/אמֹֽר
I am the LORD thy God, which haue brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage:

Thou shalt haue no other Gods before me.

Thou shalt not make vnto thee any grauen Image, or any likenesse of any thing that is in heauen aboue, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water vnder the earth.
GenevaThou shalt make thee no grauen image, neither any similitude of things that are in heauen aboue, neither that are in the earth beneath, nor that are in the waters vnder the earth.
לֹֽ֣א תַֽעֲשֶׂ֨ה לְ/ךָ֥ פֶ֨סֶל֙ וְ/כָל תְּמוּנָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר בַּ/שָּׁמַ֨יִם֙ מִ/מַּ֔עַל וַ/אֲשֶׁ֥ר בָּ/אָ֖רֶץ מִ/תָּ֑חַת וַ/אֲשֶׁ֥ר בַּ/מַּ֖יִם מִ/תַּ֥חַת לָ/אָֽרֶץ
Thou shalt not bow downe thy selfe to them, nor serue them: For I the LORD thy God am a iealous God, visiting the iniquitie of the fathers vpon the children, vnto the thirde and fourth generation of them that hate me:

לֹֽא תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֥ה לָ/הֶ֖ם וְ/לֹ֣א תָעָבְדֵ֑/ם כִּ֣י אָֽנֹכִ֞י יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֨י/ךָ֙ אֵ֣ל קַנָּ֔א פֹּ֠קֵד עֲוֺ֨ן אָבֹ֧ת עַל בָּנִ֛ים עַל שִׁלֵּשִׁ֥ים וְ/עַל רִבֵּעִ֖ים לְ/שֹׂנְאָֽ/י
And shewing mercy vnto thousands of them that loue mee, and keepe my Commandements.
GenevaAnd shewing mercie vnto thousandes to them that loue me, and keepe my commandemets.
וְ/עֹ֥שֶׂה חֶ֖סֶד לַ/אֲלָפִ֑ים לְ/אֹהֲבַ֖/י וּ/לְ/שֹׁמְרֵ֥י מִצְוֺתָֽ/י
Thou shalt not take the Name of the LORD thy God in vaine: for the LORD will not holde him guiltlesse, that taketh his Name in vaine.

לֹ֥א תִשָּׂ֛א אֶת שֵֽׁם יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖י/ךָ לַ/שָּׁ֑וְא כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יְנַקֶּה֙ יְהוָ֔ה אֵ֛ת אֲשֶׁר יִשָּׂ֥א אֶת שְׁמ֖/וֹ לַ/שָּֽׁוְא
Remember the Sabbath day, to keepe it holy.

Sixe dayes shalt thou labour, and doe all thy worke:

For in sixe dayes the LORD made heauen and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seuenth day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and halowed it.

¶ Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy dayes may bee long vpon the land, which the LORD thy God giueth thee.

Thou shalt not couet thy neighbours house, thou shalt not couet thy neighbours wife, nor his man seruant, nor his maid seruant, nor his oxe, nor his asse, nor any thing that is thy neighbours.

לֹ֥א תַחְמֹ֖ד בֵּ֣ית רֵעֶ֑/ךָ לֹֽא תַחְמֹ֞ד אֵ֣שֶׁת רֵעֶ֗/ךָ וְ/עַבְדּ֤/וֹ וַ/אֲמָת/וֹ֙ וְ/שׁוֹר֣/וֹ וַ/חֲמֹר֔/וֹ וְ/כֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר לְ/רֵעֶֽ/ךָ
¶ And all the people saw the thundrings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountaine smoking: and when the people saw it, they remooued, and stood a farre off.
GenevaAnd all the people sawe the thunders, and the lightnings, and the sound of the trumpet, and the mountaine smoking and when the people saw it they fled and stoode afare off,
וְ/כָל הָ/עָם֩ רֹאִ֨ים אֶת הַ/קּוֹלֹ֜ת וְ/אֶת הַ/לַּפִּידִ֗ם וְ/אֵת֙ ק֣וֹל הַ/שֹּׁפָ֔ר וְ/אֶת הָ/הָ֖ר עָשֵׁ֑ן וַ/יַּ֤רְא הָ/עָם֙ וַ/יָּנֻ֔עוּ וַ/יַּֽעַמְד֖וּ מֵֽ/רָחֹֽק
And they saide vnto Moses, Speake thou with vs, and wee will heare: But let not God speake with vs, lest we die.

וַ/יֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ אֶל מֹשֶׁ֔ה דַּבֵּר אַתָּ֥ה עִמָּ֖/נוּ וְ/נִשְׁמָ֑עָה וְ/אַל יְדַבֵּ֥ר עִמָּ֛/נוּ אֱלֹהִ֖ים פֶּן נָמֽוּת
And Moses said vnto the people, Feare not: for God is come to prooue you, and that his feare may bee before your faces, that ye sinne not.

וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֣ה אֶל הָ/עָם֮ אַל תִּירָאוּ֒ כִּ֗י לְ/בַֽ/עֲבוּר֙ נַסּ֣וֹת אֶתְ/כֶ֔ם בָּ֖א הָ/אֱלֹהִ֑ים וּ/בַ/עֲב֗וּר תִּהְיֶ֧ה יִרְאָת֛/וֹ עַל פְּנֵי/כֶ֖ם לְ/בִלְתִּ֥י תֶחֱטָֽאוּ
And the people stood afarre off, and Moses drew neere vnto the thicke darkenes, where God was.

וַ/יַּעֲמֹ֥ד הָ/עָ֖ם מֵ/רָחֹ֑ק וּ/מֹשֶׁה֙ נִגַּ֣שׁ אֶל הָֽ/עֲרָפֶ֔ל אֲשֶׁר שָׁ֖ם הָ/אֱלֹהִֽים
¶ And the LORD said vnto Moses, Thus thou shalt say vnto the children of Israel, Yee haue seene that I haue talked with you from heauen.

וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל מֹשֶׁ֔ה כֹּ֥ה תֹאמַ֖ר אֶל בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אַתֶּ֣ם רְאִיתֶ֔ם כִּ֚י מִן הַ/שָּׁמַ֔יִם דִּבַּ֖רְתִּי עִמָּ/כֶֽם
Ye shall not make with me gods of siluer, neither shall ye make vnto you gods of gold.
GenevaYe shall not make therefore with me gods of siluer, nor gods of golde: you shall make you none.
לֹ֥א תַעֲשׂ֖וּ/ן אִתִּ֑/י אֱלֹ֤הֵי כֶ֨סֶף֙ וֵ/אלֹהֵ֣י זָהָ֔ב לֹ֥א תַעֲשׂ֖וּ לָ/כֶֽם
¶ An Altar of earth thou shalt make vnto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheepe, and thine oxen: In all places where I record my Name, I will come vnto thee, and I will blesse thee.

מִזְבַּ֣ח אֲדָמָה֮ תַּעֲשֶׂה לִּ/י֒ וְ/זָבַחְתָּ֣ עָלָ֗י/ו אֶת עֹלֹתֶ֨י/ךָ֙ וְ/אֶת שְׁלָמֶ֔י/ךָ אֶת צֹֽאנְ/ךָ֖ וְ/אֶת בְּקָרֶ֑/ךָ בְּ/כָל הַ/מָּקוֹם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אַזְכִּ֣יר אֶת שְׁמִ֔/י אָב֥וֹא אֵלֶ֖י/ךָ וּ/בֵרַכְתִּֽי/ךָ
And if thou wilt make mee an Altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewen stone: for if thou lift vp thy toole vpon it, thou hast polluted it.

Neither shalt thou goe vp by steps vnto mine Altar, that thy nakednesse be not discouered thereon.
