Deuteronomy 16
Obserue the moneth of Abib, and keepe the Passeouer vuto the LORD thy God: for in the moneth of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee foorth out of Egypt by night.
GenevaThou shalt keepe the moneth of Abib, and thou shalt celebrate the Passeouer vnto the Lord thy God: for in the moneth of Abib ye Lord thy God brought thee out of Egypt by night.
שָׁמוֹר֙ אֶת חֹ֣דֶשׁ הָ/אָבִ֔יב וְ/עָשִׂ֣יתָ פֶּ֔סַח לַ/יהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֶ֑י/ךָ כִּ֞י בְּ/חֹ֣דֶשׁ הָֽ/אָבִ֗יב הוֹצִ֨יאֲ/ךָ֜ יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֶ֛י/ךָ מִ/מִּצְרַ֖יִם לָֽיְלָה
Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the Passeouer vnto the LORD thy God, of the flocke and the heard, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there.
GenevaThou shalt therefore offer the Passeouer vnto the Lord thy God, of sheepe and bullockes in the place where the Lord shall chose to cause his Name to dwell.
וְ/זָבַ֥חְתָּ פֶּ֛סַח לַ/יהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖י/ךָ צֹ֣אן וּ/בָקָ֑ר בַּ/מָּקוֹם֙ אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה לְ/שַׁכֵּ֥ן שְׁמ֖/וֹ שָֽׁם
Thou shalt eat no leauened bread with it: seuen dayes shalt thou eat vnleauened bread therewith, euen the bread of affliction, (for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste) that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest foorth out of the land of Egypt, all the dayes of thy life.
GenevaThou shalt eate no leauened bread with it: but seuen dayes shalt thou eate vnleauened bread therewith, euen the bread of tribulation: for thou camest out of the land of Egypt in haste, that thou maist remember ye day whe thou camest out of the land of Egypt, all the dayes of thy life.
לֹא תֹאכַ֤ל עָלָי/ו֙ חָמֵ֔ץ שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִ֛ים תֹּֽאכַל עָלָ֥י/ו מַצּ֖וֹת לֶ֣חֶם עֹ֑נִי כִּ֣י בְ/חִפָּז֗וֹן יָצָ֨אתָ֙ מֵ/אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם לְמַ֣עַן תִּזְכֹּר֔ אֶת י֤וֹם צֵֽאתְ/ךָ֙ מֵ/אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֥י חַיֶּֽי/ךָ
And there shall bee no leauened bread seene with thee in all thy coasts seuen dayes, neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at Euen, remaine all night, vntill the morning.
GenevaAnd there shalbe no leauen seene with thee in all thy coastes seuen dayes long: neither shall there remaine the night any of the flesh vntil the morning which thou offeredst ye first day at euen.
וְ/לֹֽא יֵרָאֶ֨ה לְ/ךָ֥ שְׂאֹ֛ר בְּ/כָל גְּבֻלְ/ךָ֖ שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֑ים וְ/לֹא יָלִ֣ין מִן הַ/בָּשָׂ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֨ר תִּזְבַּ֥ח בָּ/עֶ֛רֶב בַּ/יּ֥וֹם הָ/רִאשׁ֖וֹן לַ/בֹּֽקֶר
Thou mayest not sacrifice the Passeouer within any of the gates, which the LORD thy God giueth thee.
GenevaThou maist not offer ye Passeouer within any of thy gates, which ye Lord thy God giueth thee:
לֹ֥א תוּכַ֖ל לִ/זְבֹּ֣חַ אֶת הַ/פָּ֑סַח בְּ/אַחַ֣ד שְׁעָרֶ֔י/ךָ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖י/ךָ נֹתֵ֥ן לָֽ/ךְ
But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his Name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the Passeouer at Euen, at the going downe of the Sunne, at the season that thou camest foorth out of Egypt.
GenevaBut in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his Name, there thou shalt offer the Passeouer at euen, about the going downe of the sunne, in the season that thou camest out of Egypt.
כִּ֠י אִֽם אֶל הַ/מָּק֞וֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַ֨ר יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֨י/ךָ֙ לְ/שַׁכֵּ֣ן שְׁמ֔/וֹ שָׁ֛ם תִּזְבַּ֥ח אֶת הַ/פֶּ֖סַח בָּ/עָ֑רֶב כְּ/ב֣וֹא הַ/שֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ מוֹעֵ֖ד צֵֽאתְ/ךָ֥ מִ/מִּצְרָֽיִם
And thou shalt roste and eate it in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, and thou shalt turne in the morning, and goe vnto thy tents.
GenevaAnd thou shalt roste and eate it in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, and shalt returne on the morowe, and goe vnto thy tentes.
וּ/בִשַּׁלְתָּ֙ וְ/אָ֣כַלְתָּ֔ בַּ/מָּק֕וֹם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִבְחַ֛ר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖י/ךָ בּ֑/וֹ וּ/פָנִ֣יתָ בַ/בֹּ֔קֶר וְ/הָלַכְתָּ֖ לְ/אֹהָלֶֽי/ךָ
Sixe dayes thou shalt eate vnleauened bread, and on the seuenth day shall be a solemne assembly to the LORD thy God: thou shalt doe no worke therein.
GenevaSix daies shalt thou eate vnleauened bread, and ye seuenth day shall be a solemne assemblie to ye Lord thy God thou shalt do no worke therein.
שֵׁ֥שֶׁת יָמִ֖ים תֹּאכַ֣ל מַצּ֑וֹת וּ/בַ/יּ֣וֹם הַ/שְּׁבִיעִ֗י עֲצֶ֨רֶת֙ לַ/יהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔י/ךָ לֹ֥א תַעֲשֶׂ֖ה מְלָאכָֽה
¶ Seuen weekes shalt thou number vnto thee: beginne to number the seuen weekes, from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corne.
GenevaSeuen weekes shalt thou nomber vnto thee, and shalt beginne to nomber ye seuen weekes, when thou beginnest to put the sickel to ye corne:
שִׁבְעָ֥ה שָׁבֻעֹ֖ת תִּסְפָּר לָ֑/ךְ מֵ/הָחֵ֤ל חֶרְמֵשׁ֙ בַּ/קָּמָ֔ה תָּחֵ֣ל לִ/סְפֹּ֔ר שִׁבְעָ֖ה שָׁבֻעֽוֹת
And thou shalt keepe the feast of weekes vnto the LORD thy God with a tribute of a free will offering of thine hand, which thou shalt giue vnto the LORD thy God, according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.
GenevaAnd thou shalt keepe the feast of weekes vnto the Lord thy God, euen a free gift of thine hand, which thou shalt giue vnto the Lord thy God, as the Lord thy God hath blessed thee.
וְ/עָשִׂ֜יתָ חַ֤ג שָׁבֻעוֹת֙ לַ/יהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔י/ךָ מִסַּ֛ת נִדְבַ֥ת יָדְ/ךָ֖ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּתֵּ֑ן כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְבָרֶכְ/ךָ֖ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽי/ךָ
And thou shalt reioyce before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy sonne, and thy daughter, and thy man seruant and thy maid seruant, and the Leuite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherlesse, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his Name there.
GenevaAnd thou shalt reioyce before the Lord thy God, thou and thy sonne, and thy daughter, and thy seruant, and thy maide, and the Leuite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherles, and the widowe, that are among you, in the place which the Lord thy God shall chuse to place his Name there,
וְ/שָׂמַחְתָּ֞ לִ/פְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֗י/ךָ אַתָּ֨ה וּ/בִנְ/ךָ֣ וּ/בִתֶּ/ךָ֮ וְ/עַבְדְּ/ךָ֣ וַ/אֲמָתֶ/ךָ֒ וְ/הַ/לֵּוִי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בִּ/שְׁעָרֶ֔י/ךָ וְ/הַ/גֵּ֛ר וְ/הַ/יָּת֥וֹם וְ/הָ/אַלְמָנָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּ/קִרְבֶּ֑/ךָ בַּ/מָּק֗וֹם אֲשֶׁ֤ר יִבְחַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔י/ךָ לְ/שַׁכֵּ֥ן שְׁמ֖/וֹ שָֽׁם
And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt: and thou shalt obserue & do these Statutes.
GenevaAnd thou shalt remember that thou wast a seruant in Egypt: therefore thou shalt obserue and doe these ordinances.
וְ/זָ֣כַרְתָּ֔ כִּי עֶ֥בֶד הָיִ֖יתָ בְּ/מִצְרָ֑יִם וְ/שָׁמַרְתָּ֣ וְ/עָשִׂ֔יתָ אֶת הַֽ/חֻקִּ֖ים הָ/אֵֽלֶּה
¶ Thou shalt obserue the feast of Tabernacles seuen dayes, after that thou hast gathered in thy corne, and thy wine.
GenevaThou shalt obserue the feast of the Tabernacles seuen daies, when thou hast gathered in thy corne, and thy wine.
חַ֧ג הַ/סֻּכֹּ֛ת תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה לְ/ךָ֖ שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֑ים בְּ/אָ֨סְפְּ/ךָ֔ מִֽ/גָּרְנְ/ךָ֖ וּ/מִ/יִּקְבֶֽ/ךָ
And thou shalt reioice in thy feast, thou, and thy sonne, and thy daughter, and thy man seruant, and thy maid seruant, and the Leuite, the stranger, and the fatherlesse, and the widow, that are within thy gates.

וְ/שָׂמַחְתָּ֖ בְּ/חַגֶּ֑/ךָ אַתָּ֨ה וּ/בִנְ/ךָ֤ וּ/בִתֶּ֨/ךָ֙ וְ/עַבְדְּ/ךָ֣ וַ/אֲמָתֶ֔/ךָ וְ/הַ/לֵּוִ֗י וְ/הַ/גֵּ֛ר וְ/הַ/יָּת֥וֹם וְ/הָ/אַלְמָנָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר בִּ/שְׁעָרֶֽי/ךָ
Seuen dayes shalt thou keepe a solemne feast vnto the LORD thy God, in the place which the LORD shall chuse: because the LORD thy God shall blesse thee in all thy increase, and in all the workes of thine handes, therefore thou shalt surely reioyce.
GenevaSeuen daies shalt thou keepe a feast vnto the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord shall chuse: when the Lord thy God shall blesse thee in all thine increase, and in all the workes of thine hands, thou shalt in any case be glad.
שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֗ים תָּחֹג֙ לַ/יהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔י/ךָ בַּ/מָּק֖וֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֣י יְבָרֶכְ/ךָ֞ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֗י/ךָ בְּ/כֹ֤ל תְּבוּאָֽתְ/ךָ֙ וּ/בְ/כֹל֙ מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יָדֶ֔י/ךָ וְ/הָיִ֖יתָ אַ֥ךְ שָׂמֵֽחַ
¶ Three times in a yeere shal all thy males appeare before the LORD thy God, in the place which hee shall chuse: in the feast of Unleauened bread, and in the feast of Weekes, and in the feast of Tabernacles: and they shal not appeare before the LORD emptie.
GenevaThree times in the yeere shall all the males appeare before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall chuse: in the feast of the vnleauened bread, and in the feast of the weekes, and in the feast of the Tabernacles: and they shall not appeare before the Lord emptie.
שָׁל֣וֹשׁ פְּעָמִ֣ים בַּ/שָּׁנָ֡ה יֵרָאֶ֨ה כָל זְכוּרְ/ךָ֜ אֶת פְּנֵ֣י יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֗י/ךָ בַּ/מָּקוֹם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִבְחָ֔ר בְּ/חַ֧ג הַ/מַּצּ֛וֹת וּ/בְ/חַ֥ג הַ/שָּׁבֻע֖וֹת וּ/בְ/חַ֣ג הַ/סֻּכּ֑וֹת וְ/לֹ֧א יֵרָאֶ֛ה אֶת פְּנֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה רֵיקָֽם
Euery man shall giue as hee is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God, which he hath giuen thee.
GenevaEuery man shall giue according to the gift of his hand, and according to the blessing of the Lord thy God, which he hath giuen thee.
אִ֖ישׁ כְּ/מַתְּנַ֣ת יָד֑/וֹ כְּ/בִרְכַּ֛ת יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖י/ךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָֽתַן לָֽ/ךְ
¶ Iudges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates which the LORD thy God giueth thee throughout thy tribes: and they shall iudge the people with iust iudgement.
GenevaIudges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy cities, which the Lord thy God giueth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall iudge the people with righteous iudgement.
שֹׁפְטִ֣ים וְ/שֹֽׁטְרִ֗ים תִּֽתֶּן לְ/ךָ֙ בְּ/כָל שְׁעָרֶ֔י/ךָ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֶ֛י/ךָ נֹתֵ֥ן לְ/ךָ֖ לִ/שְׁבָטֶ֑י/ךָ וְ/שָׁפְט֥וּ אֶת הָ/עָ֖ם מִשְׁפַּט צֶֽדֶק
Thou shalt not wrest iudgement, thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and peruert the wordes of the righteous.
GenevaWrest not thou ye Law, nor respect any person, neither take rewarde: for the reward blindeth ye eyes of the wise, and peruerteth ye worde of ye iust.
לֹא תַטֶּ֣ה מִשְׁפָּ֔ט לֹ֥א תַכִּ֖יר פָּנִ֑ים וְ/לֹא תִקַּ֣ח שֹׁ֔חַד כִּ֣י הַ/שֹּׁ֗חַד יְעַוֵּר֙ עֵינֵ֣י חֲכָמִ֔ים וִֽ/יסַלֵּ֖ף דִּבְרֵ֥י צַדִּיקִֽם
That which is altogether iust shalt thou followe, that thou mayest liue, and inherite the land which the LORD thy God giueth thee.
GenevaThat which is iust and right shalt thou follow, that thou maiest liue, and possesse the land which the Lord thy God giueth thee.
צֶ֥דֶק צֶ֖דֶק תִּרְדֹּ֑ף לְמַ֤עַן תִּֽחְיֶה֙ וְ/יָרַשְׁתָּ֣ אֶת הָ/אָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖י/ךָ נֹתֵ֥ן לָֽ/ךְ
¶ Thou shalt not plant thee a groue of any trees neere vnto the Altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee:
GenevaThou shalt plant thee no groue of any trees neere vnto the altar of the Lord thy God, which thou shalt make thee.
לֹֽא תִטַּ֥ע לְ/ךָ֛ אֲשֵׁרָ֖ה כָּל עֵ֑ץ אֵ֗צֶל מִזְבַּ֛ח יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖י/ךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּעֲשֶׂה לָּֽ/ךְ
Neither shalt thou set thee vp any image, which the LORD thy God hateth.
GenevaThou shalt set thee vp no pillar, which thing the Lord thy God hateth.
וְ/לֹֽא תָקִ֥ים לְ/ךָ֖ מַצֵּבָ֑ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׂנֵ֖א יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽי/ךָ
