1 Chronicles 16
So they brought the Arke of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that Dauid had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices, and peace offerings before God.
GenevaSo they brought in the Arke of God, and set it in the middes of the Tabernacle that Dauid had pitched for it, and they offred burnt offrings and peace offrings before God.
וַ/יָּבִ֨יאוּ֙ אֶת אֲר֣וֹן הָֽ/אֱלֹהִ֔ים וַ/יַּצִּ֣יגוּ אֹת֔/וֹ בְּ/ת֣וֹךְ הָ/אֹ֔הֶל אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָֽטָה ל֖/וֹ דָּוִ֑יד וַ/יַּקְרִ֛יבוּ עֹל֥וֹת וּ/שְׁלָמִ֖ים לִ/פְנֵ֥י הָ/אֱלֹהִֽים
And when Dauid had made an end of offering the burnt offerings, and the peace offrings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.
GenevaAnd when Dauid had made an ende of offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, hee blessed the people in the Name of the Lord.
וַ/יְכַ֣ל דָּוִ֔יד מֵ/הַעֲל֥וֹת הָ/עֹלָ֖ה וְ/הַ/שְּׁלָמִ֑ים וַ/יְבָ֥רֶךְ אֶת הָ/עָ֖ם בְּ/שֵׁ֥ם יְהוָֽה
And hee dealt to euery one of Israel, both man and woman, to euery one a loafe of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.

וַ/יְחַלֵּק֙ לְ/כָל אִ֣ישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל מֵ/אִ֖ישׁ וְ/עַד אִשָּׁ֑ה לְ/אִישׁ֙ כִּכַּר לֶ֔חֶם וְ/אֶשְׁפָּ֖ר וַ/אֲשִׁישָֽׁה
¶ And he appointed certaine of the Leuites to minister before the Arke of the LORD, and to record, and to thanke and praise the LORD God of Israel,

וַ/יִּתֵּ֞ן לִ/פְנֵ֨י אֲר֧וֹן יְהוָ֛ה מִן הַ/לְוִיִּ֖ם מְשָׁרְתִ֑ים וּ/לְ/הַזְכִּיר֙ וּ/לְ/הוֹד֣וֹת וּ/לְ/הַלֵּ֔ל לַ/יהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל
Asaph the chiefe, and next to him Zachariah, Ieiel, and Shemiramoth, and Iehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed Edom: and Ieiel with Psalteries and with harpes: but Asaph made a sound with cymbals.

אָסָ֥ף הָ/רֹ֖אשׁ וּ/מִשְׁנֵ֣/הוּ זְכַרְיָ֑ה יְעִיאֵ֡ל וּ/שְׁמִֽירָמ֡וֹת וִֽ/יחִיאֵ֡ל וּ/מַתִּתְיָ֡ה וֶ/אֱלִיאָ֡ב וּ/בְנָיָהוּ֩ וְ/עֹבֵ֨ד אֱדֹ֜ם וִֽ/יעִיאֵ֗ל בִּ/כְלֵ֤י נְבָלִים֙ וּ/בְ/כִנֹּר֔וֹת וְ/אָסָ֖ף בַּֽ/מְצִלְתַּ֥יִם מַשְׁמִֽיעַ
Benaiah also and Iahaziel the Priestes, with trumpets continually before the Arke of the Couenant of God.

וּ/בְנָיָ֥הוּ וְ/יַחֲזִיאֵ֖ל הַ/כֹּהֲנִ֑ים בַּ/חֲצֹצְר֣וֹת תָּמִ֔יד לִ/פְנֵ֖י אֲר֥וֹן בְּרִית הָ/אֱלֹהִֽים
¶ Then on that day, Dauid deliuered first this Psalme to thanke the LORD, into the hand of Asaph and his brethren:
GenevaThen at that time Dauid did appoint at the beginning to giue thankes to the Lord by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
בַּ/יּ֣וֹם הַ/ה֗וּא אָ֣ז נָתַ֤ן דָּוִיד֙ בָּ/רֹ֔אשׁ לְ/הֹד֖וֹת לַ/יהוָ֑ה בְּ/יַד אָסָ֖ף וְ/אֶחָֽי/ו
Giue thankes vnto the LORD, call vpon his name, make knowen his deeds among the people.
GenevaPraise the Lord and call vpon his Name: declare his workes among the people.
הוֹד֤וּ לַֽ/יהוָה֙ קִרְא֣וּ בִ/שְׁמ֔/וֹ הוֹדִ֥יעוּ בָ/עַמִּ֖ים עֲלִילֹתָֽי/ו
Sing vnto him, sing psalmes vnto him, talke you of all his wonderous workes.
GenevaSing vnto him, sing praise vnto him, and talke of all his wonderfull workes.
שִׁ֤ירוּ ל/וֹ֙ זַמְּרוּ ל֔/וֹ שִׂ֖יחוּ בְּ/כָל נִפְלְאֹתָֽי/ו
Glory yee in his holy Name, let the heart of them reioyce that seeke the LORD.
GenevaReioyce in his holy Name: let the hearts of them that seeke the Lord reioyce.
הִֽתְהַֽלְלוּ֙ בְּ/שֵׁ֣ם קָדְשׁ֔/וֹ יִשְׂמַ֕ח לֵ֖ב מְבַקְשֵׁ֥י יְהוָֽה
Seeke the LORD, and his strength, seeke his face continually.

דִּרְשׁ֤וּ יְהוָה֙ וְ/עֻזּ֔/וֹ בַּקְּשׁ֥וּ פָנָ֖י/ו תָּמִֽיד
Remember his marueilous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the iudgements of his mouth,

זִכְר֗וּ נִפְלְאֹתָי/ו֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה מֹפְתָ֖י/ו וּ/מִשְׁפְּטֵי פִֽי/הוּ
O ye seed of Israel his seruant, ye children of Iacob his chosen ones.
GenevaO seede of Israel his seruant, O the children of Iaakob his chosen.
זֶ֚רַע יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל עַבְדּ֔/וֹ בְּנֵ֥י יַעֲקֹ֖ב בְּחִירָֽי/ו
He is the LORD our God, his iudgements are in all the earth.
GenevaHe is the Lord our God: his iudgements are throughout all the earth.
ה֚וּא יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔י/נוּ בְּ/כָל הָ/אָ֖רֶץ מִשְׁפָּטָֽי/ו
Be ye mindfull alwayes of his Couenant: the worde which hee commanded to a thousand generations:

זִכְר֤וּ לְ/עוֹלָם֙ בְּרִית֔/וֹ דָּבָ֥ר צִוָּ֖ה לְ/אֶ֥לֶף דּֽוֹר
Euen of the Couenant which hee made with Abraham, and of his othe vnto Isaac:
GenevaWhich he made with Abraham, and his othe to Izhak:
אֲשֶׁ֤ר כָּרַת֙ אֶת אַבְרָהָ֔ם וּ/שְׁבוּעָת֖/וֹ לְ/יִצְחָֽק
And hath confirmed the same to Iacob for a lawe, and to Israel for an euerlasting Couenant,

וַ/יַּעֲמִידֶ֤/הָ לְ/יַעֲקֹב֙ לְ/חֹ֔ק לְ/יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּרִ֥ית עוֹלָֽם
Saying, vnto thee will I giue the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.

לֵ/אמֹ֗ר לְ/ךָ֙ אֶתֵּ֣ן אֶֽרֶץ כְּנָ֔עַן חֶ֖בֶל נַחֲלַתְ/כֶֽם
When ye were but few, euen a few, and strangers in it:
GenevaWhen ye were fewe in number, yea, a very fewe, and strangers therein,
בִּֽ/הְיֽוֹתְ/כֶם֙ מְתֵ֣י מִסְפָּ֔ר כִּ/מְעַ֖ט וְ/גָרִ֥ים בָּֽ/הּ
And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdome to another people:
GenevaAnd walked about from nation to nation, and from one kingdome to another people,
וַ/יִּֽתְהַלְּכוּ֙ מִ/גּ֣וֹי אֶל גּ֔וֹי וּ/מִ/מַּמְלָכָ֖ה אֶל עַ֥ם אַחֵֽר
Hee suffered no man to doe them wrong: yea, hee reprooued kings for their sakes,
GenevaHe suffered no man to do them wrong, but rebuked Kings for their sakes, saying,
לֹא הִנִּ֤יחַ לְ/אִישׁ֙ לְ/עָשְׁקָ֔/ם וַ/יּ֥וֹכַח עֲלֵי/הֶ֖ם מְלָכִֽים
Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and doe my Prophets no harme.

אַֽל תִּגְּעוּ֙ בִּ/מְשִׁיחָ֔/י וּ/בִ/נְבִיאַ֖/י אַל תָּרֵֽעוּ
Sing vnto the LORD all the earth: shew foorth from day to day his saluation.
GenevaSing vnto the Lord all the earth: declare his saluation from day to day.
שִׁ֤ירוּ לַֽ/יהוָה֙ כָּל הָ/אָ֔רֶץ בַּשְּׂר֥וּ מִ/יּֽוֹם אֶל י֖וֹם יְשׁוּעָתֽ/וֹ
Declare his glory among the heathen: his marueilous workes among all nations.
GenevaDeclare his glory among the nations, and his wonderful workes among all people.
סַפְּר֤וּ בַ/גּוֹיִם֙ אֶת כְּבוֹד֔/וֹ בְּ/כָל הָ/עַמִּ֖ים נִפְלְאֹתָֽי/ו
For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared aboue all gods.
GenevaFor the Lord is great and much to be praised, and hee is to bee feared aboue all gods.
כִּי֩ גָד֨וֹל יְהוָ֤ה וּ/מְהֻלָּל֙ מְאֹ֔ד וְ/נוֹרָ֥א ה֖וּא עַל כָּל אֱלֹהִֽים
For all the gods of the people are idoles: but the LORD made the heauens.
GenevaFor all the gods of the people are idoles, but the Lord made the heauens.
כִּ֠י כָּל אֱלֹהֵ֤י הָ/עַמִּים֙ אֱלִילִ֔ים וַ/יהוָ֖ה שָׁמַ֥יִם עָשָֽׂה
Glory and honour are in his presence: strength and gladnesse are in his place.
GenevaPrayse and glory are before him: power and beautie are in his place.
ה֤וֹד וְ/הָדָר֙ לְ/פָנָ֔י/ו עֹ֥ז וְ/חֶדְוָ֖ה בִּ/מְקֹמֽ/וֹ
Giue vnto the LORD, yee kinreds of the people: giue vnto the LORD glory and strength.
GenevaGiue vnto the Lord, ye families of the people: giue vnto the Lord glory and power.
הָב֤וּ לַֽ/יהוָה֙ מִשְׁפְּח֣וֹת עַמִּ֔ים הָב֥וּ לַ/יהוָ֖ה כָּב֥וֹד וָ/עֹֽז
Giue vnto the LORD the glory due vnto his Name: bring an offering, and come before him, worship the LORD in the beautie of holinesse.

הָב֥וּ לַ/יהוָ֖ה כְּב֣וֹד שְׁמ֑/וֹ שְׂא֤וּ מִנְחָה֙ וּ/בֹ֣אוּ לְ/פָנָ֔י/ו הִשְׁתַּחֲו֥וּ לַ/יהוָ֖ה בְּ/הַדְרַת קֹֽדֶשׁ
Feare before him all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not mooued.
GenevaTremble ye before him, al the earth: surely the world shalbe stable and not moue.
חִ֤ילוּ מִ/לְּ/פָנָי/ו֙ כָּל הָ/אָ֔רֶץ אַף תִּכּ֥וֹן תֵּבֵ֖ל בַּל תִּמּֽוֹט
Let the heauens be glad, and let the earth reioyce: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.
GenevaLet the heauens reioyce, and let the earth be glad, and let them say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.
יִשְׂמְח֤וּ הַ/שָּׁמַ֨יִם֙ וְ/תָגֵ֣ל הָ/אָ֔רֶץ וְ/יֹאמְר֥וּ בַ/גּוֹיִ֖ם יְהוָ֥ה מָלָֽךְ
Let the sea roare, and the fulnesse thereof: let the fieldes reioyce, and all that is therein.
GenevaLet the sea roare, and all that therein is: Let the field be ioyfull and all that is in it.
יִרְעַ֤ם הַ/יָּם֙ וּ/מְלוֹא֔/וֹ יַעֲלֹ֥ץ הַ/שָּׂדֶ֖ה וְ/כָל אֲשֶׁר בּֽ/וֹ
Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because hee commeth to iudge the earth.
GenevaLet the trees of the wood then reioyce at the presence of the Lord: for he commeth to iudge the earth.
אָ֥ז יְרַנְּנ֖וּ עֲצֵ֣י הַ/יָּ֑עַר מִ/לִּ/פְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה כִּי בָ֖א לִ/שְׁפּ֥וֹט אֶת הָ/אָֽרֶץ
O giue thanks vnto the LORD, for hee is good: for his mercy endureth for euer.
GenevaPrayse the Lord, for hee is good, for his mercie endureth for euer.
הוֹד֤וּ לַ/יהוָה֙ כִּ֣י ט֔וֹב כִּ֥י לְ/עוֹלָ֖ם חַסְדּֽ/וֹ
And say yee, Saue vs, O God of our saluation, and gather vs together, and deliuer vs from the heathen, that we may giue thanks to thy holy Name, and glory in thy praise.

וְ/אִמְר֕וּ הוֹשִׁיעֵ֨/נוּ֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׁעֵ֔/נוּ וְ/קַבְּצֵ֥/נוּ וְ/הַצִּילֵ֖/נוּ מִן הַ/גּוֹיִ֑ם לְ/הֹדוֹת֙ לְ/שֵׁ֣ם קָדְשֶׁ֔/ךָ לְ/הִשְׁתַּבֵּ֖חַ בִּ/תְהִלָּתֶֽ/ךָ
Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for euer and euer: and all the people saide, Amen, and praised the LORD.

בָּר֤וּךְ יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל מִן הָ/עוֹלָ֖ם וְ/עַ֣ד הָ/עֹלָ֑ם וַ/יֹּאמְר֤וּ כָל הָ/עָם֙ אָמֵ֔ן וְ/הַלֵּ֖ל לַֽ/יהוָֽה
¶ So hee left there before the Arke of the couenant of the LORD, Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the Arke continually, as euery dayes worke required:

וַ/יַּֽעֲזָב שָׁ֗ם לִ/פְנֵי֙ אֲר֣וֹן בְּרִית יְהוָ֔ה לְ/אָסָ֖ף וּ/לְ/אֶחָ֑י/ו לְ/שָׁרֵ֞ת לִ/פְנֵ֧י הָ/אָר֛וֹן תָּמִ֖יד לִ/דְבַר י֥וֹם בְּ/יוֹמֽ/וֹ
And Obed Edom with their brethren, threescore and eight: Obed Edom also the sonne of Ieduthun, and Hosah to be porters:
GenevaAnd Obed Edom and his brethren, three score and eight: and Obed Edom the sonne of Ieduthun, and Hosah were porters.
וְ/עֹבֵ֥ד אֱדֹ֛ם וַ/אֲחֵי/הֶ֖ם שִׁשִּׁ֣ים וּ/שְׁמוֹנָ֑ה וְ/עֹבֵ֨ד אֱדֹ֧ם בֶּן יְדִית֛וּן וְ/חֹסָ֖ה לְ/שֹׁעֲרִֽים
And Zadok the Priest, and his brethren the Priests, before the Tabernacle of the LORD, in the high place that was at Gibeon,
GenevaAnd Zadok the Priest and his brethren the Priestes were before the Tabernacle of ye Lord, in the hie place that was at Gibeon,
וְ/אֵ֣ת צָד֣וֹק הַ/כֹּהֵ֗ן וְ/אֶחָי/ו֙ הַ/כֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים לִ/פְנֵ֖י מִשְׁכַּ֣ן יְהוָ֑ה בַּ/בָּמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּ/גִבְעֽוֹן
To offer burnt offerings vnto the LORD, vpon the Altar of the burnt offering continually morning and euening, and to doe according to all that is written in the Lawe of the LORD, which hee commanded Israel:
GenevaTo offer burnt offrings vnto the Lord, vpon the burnt offring altar continually, in the morning and in the euening, euen according vnto all that is written in the law of the Lord, which hee commanded Israel.
לְֽ/הַעֲלוֹת֩ עֹל֨וֹת לַ/יהוָ֜ה עַל מִזְבַּ֧ח הָ/עֹלָ֛ה תָּמִ֖יד לַ/בֹּ֣קֶר וְ/לָ/עָ֑רֶב וּ/לְ/כָל הַ/כָּתוּב֙ בְּ/תוֹרַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוָּ֖ה עַל יִשְׂרָאֵֽל
And with them Heman and Ieduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to giue thankes to the LORD, because his mercy endureth for euer.
GenevaAnd with them were Heman, and Ieduthun, and the rest that were chosen (which were appointed by names) to praise the Lord, because his mercie endureth for euer.
וְ/עִמָּ/הֶם֙ הֵימָ֣ן וִֽ/ידוּת֔וּן וּ/שְׁאָר֙ הַ/בְּרוּרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר נִקְּב֖וּ בְּ/שֵׁמ֑וֹת לְ/הֹדוֹת֙ לַֽ/יהוָ֔ה כִּ֥י לְ/עוֹלָ֖ם חַסְדּֽ/וֹ
And with them Heman and Ieduthun with trumpets and cymbales, for those that should make a sound, and with musicall instruments of God: and the sonnes of Ieduthun were Porters.
GenevaEuen with them were Heman and Ioduthun, to make a sound with the cornets and with the cymbales, with excellent instruments of musicke: and the sonnes of Ieduthun were at the gate.
וְ/עִמָּ/הֶם֩ הֵימָ֨ן וִֽ/ידוּת֜וּן חֲצֹצְר֤וֹת וּ/מְצִלְתַּ֨יִם֙ לְ/מַשְׁמִיעִ֔ים וּ/כְלֵ֖י שִׁ֣יר הָ/אֱלֹהִ֑ים וּ/בְנֵ֥י יְדוּת֖וּן לַ/שָּֽׁעַר
And all the people departed euery man to his house, and Dauid returned to blesse his house.
GenevaAnd all the people departed, euerie man to his house: and Dauid returned to blesse his house.
וַ/יֵּלְכ֥וּ כָל הָ/עָ֖ם אִ֣ישׁ לְ/בֵית֑/וֹ וַ/יִּסֹּ֥ב דָּוִ֖יד לְ/בָרֵ֥ךְ אֶת בֵּיתֽ/וֹ
